Is that first diagram also pure slop? I would have to understand more of what they're doing to confidently say it is, but it seems odd.
> every technique under the sun to understand and improve their models, including raw weights.
What does this even mean?
You forgot New America (he's soured on New Mexico).
Hilary Putnam (famous male philosopher) was born in 1926. I imagine soon after this generation is flipped.
“Move fast and break democracy”
I don't think the cost of health care is primarily a technical problem, but a political one.
> Absolutely ridiculous they have all this compute and creative resources and cant make something more intuitive to help people understand it more natively
OpenAI has that too - open their website and ask.
> The rest of the right wing just doesn't want government slush fund handouts to vaporware companies
Maybe the voters don't, but the businessmen and politicians definitely do, maybe more so than democrats. Just in different sectors (military).

> The point of the law was to generate money for the state to fund the same mistakes France and GB are currently reeling from.
Which mistakes of France and GB are you referring to? The money (90%) will go to health care spending. So, yes - vastly overpriced crap - France spends half for universal care with better outcomes.
"I would have worked hard and started a great company, but since I could only ever reach $900M in wealth, I decided to be a bum instead". Sure.
Check out the work of Gabriel Zucman. Many interviews online. Makes a good case for wealth taxes.
Can someone point the heart of this fix? I see a bunch of change of naming of constants, etc
Vulnerability Zzyzx in a week
Yes, why don't they just say it instead of posting videos. Opening a sinister PDF in iOS can give them access to what exactly? anything/everything? What iOS versions or devices, etc?
There are real quotes from notable people.
The article pointed to a quote from Palantir CTO.
There is also a quote from Avi Schiffmann - founder of AI wearable friend. "By the time you do get lung cancer, our AI robots are supposed to have cured that," Schiffmann says.
Both quotes may have been said in the sense of them not supporting this idea, but acknowledging an attitude of some of not worrying about long-term planning.
The original quote was from Shyam Sankar, CTO of Palantir, not Karp.
This comment is more evidence to the whole point of the article.
So many TTS releases - it's hard to know what is something new and worth looking into vs small tweaks on something existing.
In the book - is it men vs machines? Because it’s pretty clear in our world it will be men+machines vs men(probably also + some machines)
Is there a benchmark for ass-kissing or back-slapping?
But, Waymo removed the driver and it's not cheaper than Uber, correct?
So, Meta will spend millions/billions on building open-weight models and then people will send Apple $20,000 to run them. Seems like a good deal for Apple.
It starts with "The Short Version", but even that looks like several pages of text. In the olden days, there was something called an "Abstract" that worked pretty well - the author could summarize their own work to say what the paper was about.
Interesting thing I notice: in 10/13 of the examples, there are 3 small horizontal lines behind the bike meant to convey motion.
These look surprisingly similar and not necessarily something that directly follows from the prompt.
That makes sense. Probably bad AI summaries. I copied that quote from Wang's page. Looking now at the podcast page [1]:
What are people actually doing with Muse?
Zuckerberg's Muse sources obscure teas weekly from farms in Taiwan and Japan. Wang's favorite use is MMA coaching: cameras in his gym let Muse watch his sparring"
