Code is my own. Do you think rewriting the Readme in my own words would help?
How would someone prove that it’s safe, good, and market it? Asking for your opinion here.
Done. Thanks a lot for the advice!
Sounds like a nice idea, which would allow me to showcase all the capabilities of the library!
I took your advice and added it to the About section, and added a small emoji in the Readme to boost visibility

I built a lightweight React guided tour library after finding existing solutions too heavy or limiting for my use case. I open-sourced it six weeks ago, but haven’t seen much adoption or attraction yet.I'm curious to hear from others who’ve released developer tools how it works and if I should be patient with it?The reason I want this to work is not for monetary gain, it's open source and will...

I built a small guided tour library for React because I couldn’t find a free one that works cleanly with React 19+.It’s lightweight, uses modern React APIs, and is free. Let me know what you think: https://github.com/Aladinbensassi/react-guided-tour
Thank you for the feedback. I agree, HN is mostly technical people, but I also appreciate all the feedback I can get!
Agreed, I will only be taking on doable projects of course, that's why over the initial call I'll assess if it's doable or not. But that's a good point. Should I maybe add a build from scratch option?
lol agreed, but vibe coders and non technical founders can't do that themselves. What do you think of the idea as a whole? I would really appreciate any feedback

I’ve been seeing a lot of people build quick prototypes with AI lately, kind of “vibe coding,” and producing unsafe, unfinished, and unusable apps. The ideas are great and they work in a demo sometimes, but the moment you try to put them in front of real users things start breaking. So I decided to create a service around helping people take those prototypes and actually get them ready for...
A video application? Really? Sigh.
Yes, I was hired as a contractor. The company is based in Köhlstraße, do you know which municipality website I need to file the complaint from?

I worked for a German company that didn't pay me for 5 months, during that period payment was always late, then it didn't come for two months then I was let go, which was good for me since I was going to quit anyways and if they fire me I get a three weeks severance, but after they let me go, they emailed that they will pay me then cut contact for the last month with 0 news. I'm not based in...

For the sake of argument let's say:
- No, but you're not contractually obliged to inform them
- Both are full time lead positions but one of them has flexible hours and no set 9-5

If you were to take two positions as a team lead for two different companies working with different techologies, how would you make sure you make it work?

I've been working with Elm for the past few years and I enjoy it greatly, but I'm not sure if any FAANG or Fortune 500 companies are interested in it

I'm working on writing a new document to determine how to categorize bugs for my company, and I was wondering how you categorize bugs at your place of work, from minor to major.
The bar is passed to make sure that the student knows his stuff and laws, I don't think that applies to an AI that has every legal book in its database. But I do agree that jurys would be a big problem that can be solved by using it in small claims court where there's no jury, and as far as not being able to sue it, you can sue the company that created it!

I think that a lawyer AI is not something far off from reality and we can expect them to become a thing in the future, what do you think?
Mostly everywhere since i work remotely

I've been looking for Elm jobs for two months with no luck. Why is there such a shortage in Elm development jobs? The Elm slack jobs board only gets one or two jobs a month and most of them are for beginners or offering ridiculously low pay.Should I just go back to React?

I've been a remote developer for 11 years, and I'm currently making around a $100k/year. I've interviewed for a few other companies but it seems like the ceiling is at around that level.Have you encountered better compensations for remote devs or is this really the ceiling?
Can't it be a segway into other FP jobs?

Does being an Elm developer improve my chances of being hired since it's a niche technology, or will it hurt my career for the same reason.
