Re:Astra can read and write weights to improve Qwen on Monday November 02, 2026 @09:20PM (#50347169)
Can it also tell us what those weights mean?

I had the impression that's the missing piece.

Re:Breaking the Open Web Won't Stop the Bad Bots on Friday October 30, 2026 @04:22PM (#50309635)
I had the impression the bad boys are those that peddle an agenda on social media, not those who read a bunch of blogs.
Re:After 28 years walking across the globe, he's almost home on Friday October 30, 2026 @11:52AM (#50305689)
When I enter a country outside the EU they usually as me if I want to go their for vacation or work.

I had the impression, that would prevent people from travelling countries and working there without work visa.

Re:Proton goes all in on using AI on Thursday October 29, 2026 @08:25PM (#50298273)

Re:After 28 years walking across the globe, he's almost home on Thursday October 29, 2026 @05:44PM (#50296531)
Isn't that a crime?
Could just have set top_not_e.
We really need governments to force companies to mark bots and allow users to block all of them.

It's getting ridiculous online.

What prompt did they use?

Could someone ask abloliterated models that question please? :D

I don't think any party who openly works with the AfD could be called moderate.

But yeah, on paper they don't sound too bad (ignoring their pro-russia sentiments)

Re:DeepSeek just open-sourced its inference engine on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @06:33AM (#50164058)
If that's the thing that makes $0.00X cached inputs possible, then this is huge!
At least in Germany, the "far left" left the Left party and formed their own party, called BSW.

So, they got a bit of a clean-up.

Might be worth checking out https://mpx.capocasa.dev/
Care to elaborate?
Why only 830K of 7.8M?
Re:We Still Use Paper on Saturday October 17, 2026 @12:30PM (#50132495)
We love it in Germany.
We're getting to a point where we can stop boiling water for electricity.

What a time to be alive.

Looks good, but the chached inputs could use a zero more.
Re:DeepSeek: DeepSeek v4.1 Flash 1017 on Saturday October 17, 2026 @07:19AM (#50130074)
I think, as long as you don't set thinking to max and use a fitting system prompt, it's not a big issue.
Re:Butlerian Jihad on Friday October 16, 2026 @11:37PM (#50127682)
Yeah, basically.

the immediate cause of the Jihad is the abortion of the healthy fetus of a Bene Gesserit, Jehanne Butler, by an AI."

Re:Butlerian Jihad on Friday October 16, 2026 @11:31PM (#50127655)
Maybe, we get Leo's Crusade instead.
Re:Desire to Move Permanently to U.S. at New Low on Friday October 16, 2026 @01:09PM (#50121195)
Isn't that what the US wants? I mean, at least this ICE stuff happened doesn't seem very inviting.
Re:Artificial intelligence is capitalism's final destination on Friday October 16, 2026 @10:36AM (#50118886)
We could have so much free time if the gains from all the automation were evenly distributed.
Just yasterday I saw marketing material for LLMs in some websites I crawled.

Something about stop the slop with our new MCP or something.

Re:OpenCode 2.0 on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @06:30PM (#50096396)
Probably because of Effect.
Yeah, I noticed the overtone window sliding back from the right.
Re:Show HN: Proton Drive for Linux on Saturday October 10, 2026 @09:17AM (#50032643)
Cool.

I'm using gdrive under Linux and it's a pain. Takes 10 seconds to open a folder.

I have a proton subscription and would love to move my stuff there if it works reasonably faster under Linux than gdrive

They are restructuring their companies regularly and keep the core company small.
DeepSeek themselves said 4.1 Flash is better than their current Pro version.
Re:The 15-year search for a band that charted once and vanished on Thursday October 08, 2026 @07:03AM (#50004342)
Loved Spotify when it was good.

I found so many bands east Europe, all written in Cyrillic, so I couldn't have searched for them easily.

Before that I used Soulseek for Japanese bands.
