This looks really promising. Would love to learn how hard would be to abstract a current implementation.
Great insights. Thanks for sharing.
I cry sometimes and my startup is growing :')
Love the analogy.
Thanks for sharing.
Hope this is not the case with VCs! Or is it?
Yep. And as a singer you don't have to go to AI.
Sure, sure,... but you read "The Hard Things About Hard Things" and you take a look at the Pmarca's blog and some many other first hard sources/accounts about how it's really like to run a Startup and the common theme is not that of fun.
To me it has been grueling. So I can really relate to those stories. In my case is more about the challenge, not so much about having fun.
Cheers!

I always felt pitty for those poor souls being crushed after they are told that no, they won't be winning American Idol.It felt weird because the chances are so slim that one would assume that not winning should not come as a surprise or a shocker. Still they cry. Most seemed to be convinced they were "destined" to win. That clearly can not be the case. Now, the 14,000+ companies that applied to...

I am trying to open a business bank account for my startup in the US. We formed as a Delaware LLC and our main office is in South America. So far I always got to dead ends regarding the account opening online. Apparently it is dead simple if I just walk into a bank, but I won't be traveling to the US for a couple of months...
SVB was of no help either : (
I will appreciate any ideas or...
Did the NY Times edited the title?
It may disrupt the traditional way money is moved around in the River Plate: in bags and attached to body in the ferry to Montevideo.
I know of money going the other way arround. When Argentinians need the US dollars they have in Uruguay people cross in the ferry with tipicaly 50~100k, charging 2,5~3,5% fee for this "service".
Maybe there is room to provide this service with Bitcoin, selling bitcoin to this people in Montevideo and buying Argentinian pesos with that Bitcoin in Argentina.
Is it possible to make this work with a 1~2% commission using Bitcoin?

Interesting post, though I still find that most of the "findings" of GtG make total sense. I would even argue that the insights are not that revealing.
I like the book because is makes its points easy to communicate.

I am guessing that Facebook and Google can strong arm advertisers due to their strong position in the market. Maybe very large accounts have something to say when they negotiate one on one.

Some ad targeting features are getting really specific. Like Facebook's "Planning a trip > to Rio de Janeiro".Everyone can see how Facebook could be figuring who this people are by itself. But I am wondering if third party cookies in advertiser sites are not involved (which surely have a ton of potential for Facebook). If this is true big companies are surely helping out smaller players...
Update: we were not invited for an interview | aka: Rejected. Good luck to those heading to California!
Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into this, easy fix. Thanks.
Cool. So the idea is to look for different connections and nearby airports as I see. Will try it out. Good luck!
Liked it! Would definitely try it if available at my location. What's the pricing? Revenue model?
I didn't understand the concept. Who would use this? What are you solving?
Liked the idea and would definitely try out. It was a little slow on my end matching the airports to my input the first time around.
For the flights that I tried I received options with savings raging from $50 to $100 compared to Kayak. But when I tried to book I was sent to "
http://www.skyscanner.com/" and received a message that no flights matched my query.
Also: I was given no "tripdelta Result", In what case should this appear or work best? (my search was for a trip from South America to Europe).
Thanks connoshea. I appreciate the feedback!
