This is really cool. I have absolutely no use for it.
Nice resolution - helps a lot imo.
I'd mention that fact on the landing page. It seems more important than the domain name stuff (which I'd remove, personally).
It may be also a good idea to let people import their bookmarks and then make an account.
Edit: I see now that in the But... section you mention the import thing. I'd rewrite your main headings to be more persuasive. If one just reads the titles and the first paragraph then one misses the important stuff (as evidenced by my post).
I can see some sort of coordinate system being useful if I wanted to send someone a link to a particular item / patch of cork.
I'd spend the money on hookers and blow. Seriously, a rose by any other name...

It's a big internet, and sometimes you gotta seek help where you're comfortable.
Are you physically active? If no do yourself a favor and exercise. In my opinion it's the first thing to rule out before taking medicinal measures.
I would also recommend visiting a therapist instead of a GP. Your primary care physician likely knows everything they know about depression from the pamphlets and samples the pharmaceutical companies provide. Your GP will have you fill out a 6 question form asking how sad you feel and then put you on Zoloft. It's worth eliminating social and environmental issues with a psychologist before altering your brain chemistry.

Good luck. It's a really easily treatable problem.
It didn't sound like it from your post, but that's a lot of rejection. Feel free to check me out at joshuarichey.com
60 designers sounds like a lot to me. What are you saying in your emails? What's your budget? Are you asking us to work for free or 2% of some unquantifiable number?
If you make something, and it works really well, and lots of people love it, and you own it, well, you can do whatever the hell you want with it. The people who complain about this or that about it can shove off.
Luckily for you, many PIs in the research field agree with you and have lax morals when it comes to torturing innocent defenseless animals. Compliance is a joke and doing whatever the hell you want to whatever creature you want (humans included, mind you) is as easy as checking a box on a piece of paper that nobody reads.
Our species is a virus, and we do whatever we can to protect our own kind until there is nothing else left.
I agree except that this is infant tech at work. Do you happen to remember Flash 1 animations? Eeeew.
"Building a good product doesn't mean you have to be a hypocritical bunch of assholes, building a good product means creating a compelling product that people want to use."
I understand what "partisan politics" is. I don't, however, understand the above. What makes something compelling? Hurricanes might be compelling to me, but that doesn't make them good.
Though I feel the same for the most part as the author, I just decided to not buy an iPad - not ditch the OS. But then again, I'm a designer not a developer, and too afraid of the jungle to leave my big cats behind.
Jeeze, never saw this coming.
"Why I'm Won't Buy"?
Are you seriously attempting to discuss literature?
Nonsense. Of course color is a part of the UI.
Buy the most expensive digital slr camera you can afford - probably canon or nikon (canon). Then buy or try out Adobe Lightroom. Shoot interesting things on the auto mode, get used to organizing and post in lightroom. Then start playing with settings.
If you need motivation, try creating condensed weekend projects, like photographing a baseball in interesting ways, or moving vehicles.
Yeah, I do - that was bad phrasing.
As a web designer the idea of this terrifies me. Imagine having to hand code corrections for all the different interpretations of this 'feature'.
I like the idea of improving the tactility of the internet. But I'm afraid that I don't trust the browser industry to get something like this right.
My biggest issue to the new retweet feature is that I can no longer add a comment with my retweets. Most of the time this is a deal-breaker for me.
In case you missed it, the difference is that real-time search injects "BAM!" between your query and the generated results.
This is hilarious. I wanna see what it is too.
I'm getting a lot of error notices of no response before five seconds, then immediate error resolved. Not sure what this indicates. As I'm just a designer, I don't know if this is a problem or not. I'm at the point where I ignore all the notices. So now if it did really go down I wouldn't believe it.
DejaVu is gonna be hard to beat.
