Re:SpaceX Is Buying Cursor on Tuesday June 16, 2026 @10:39AM (#48556027)
Development is moving away from the IDE to agentic long running workers. I've been using their SDK in this mode - which then forces you to use cursor as model provider. I use a mix of harnesses for different types of agentic tasks and Cursor gets the best results.

First step to create a terraform provider.
I'm Portuguese and this is the best description I've read in a long time.
Re:Ask HN: Why use secrets managers? on Wednesday August 25, 2021 @11:09AM (#28302597)
Besides delegating the secrets protection to entities that do it well, key rotation is a major benefit to ensure that in the likely event your credentials are leaked (either due to malpractice or a vulnerability) the attack surface will be shortened by the time they can be used by.
Re:The SaaS Org Chart on Sunday July 25, 2021 @07:54PM (#27954056)
You are on the money here. I guess who reports to whom depends if it's a tech company or not.
The procedure started in 2011 because it was when the Civil Governments (that previously had this responsibility) were extinct by a government led by the current opposition party in order to save costs and create a leaner government.

Journalists have had this information since January and decided doing nothing anything about it. Also relevant that candidates for local elections are lining up at the moment.

Nevertheless the procedure should have been known by the Mayor and reviewed ages ago.

Looks like there was a generation outage -> https://twitter.com/upsideenergy/status/1159870347618865152

Quite surprised no one suggested https://structurizr.com/. It uses C4 diagramming approach. Quite useful for a more lean approach to docs.
Re:Software Complexity Is Killing Us on Monday January 29, 2018 @05:24PM (#16261187)
Couldn't agree more. The bandwagon effect is something also worth mentioning. Tech stacks and tools these days are branded almost as consumer products and the outcome is poorly designed systems.
Re:Announcing Go Support for AWS Lambda on Tuesday January 16, 2018 @05:10AM (#16157050)
Like many people stated here, Fargate will give you this. Lambda is actually under the hood a container system.
Re:Strongbox: a secret manager for AWS on Monday November 27, 2017 @11:20AM (#15788454)
Yes using AllowReadingSSMParameters and eventually the KMS key to encrypt/decrypt the parameter
Re:Strongbox: a secret manager for AWS on Monday November 27, 2017 @09:46AM (#15787692)
why not just use parameter store? https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/systems-manager/parameter-store/. Plus: don't use credentials directly, use the assume role feature.
Re:Over time, leaders lose mental capacities on Monday June 19, 2017 @02:40PM (#14589279)
I wonder if this is a common feature of leaders rather than a degenerative disease. Very competitive environments make way for sociopaths to get up to the top more frequently than normal people.
Re:We don't need a Tech Lead on Friday December 02, 2016 @09:30AM (#13088762)
This only outlines how a Tech Lead should operate, promoting consensus and not being authoritarian. Decision making by a committee is a recipe for failure.
