youre right, prldr without the preloading isn't worthy the name ;-) Will be back in a day or so.

Show HN: I took your advice and prldr is now a visual RSS reader

Last week I showed prldr.com, a small project I created during my weekends. The immediate thing I learned from the comments was that prldr had to be a RSS reader, which I already had in mind. So after another couple of days programming prldr.com is now a visual rss reader. You read the news by just opening the links from the RSS feeds, simple as that.features for now: management of feeds,...

You're right, will implement this.
Exactly! The same problem I always had with RSS readers. Think I am going to implement this in a few days.
There's an API to make the twitter link fetching possible. Was curious how people might use it, think there are lots of posibilities. API is very very simple, just 1 RESTful controller. Hope there will be someone who can come up with a cool application that makes use of it.

prldr.com let's you create lists of links and preloads those lists for you.

It's got a very basic API, so you can use it to create and update your own lists.

I can think of multiple use cases for it. For example: load your twitter feed, scrape the links and display them, load all your rss feeds and display them, open up all links off a frontpage, to preload them.

What do you think? What kind of things must I add to make it useful for you? You might just not like it, because of the iframe technique used, just ignore it then, it really is a very hackerish tool and not meant to be more than that.

It currently works best in Chrome/Safari.

We're building it mainly for ourselves to make it easier to start new products in the future. Will it be usefull to you?

We're extracting our marketing tools out of earlier build webapps, this will be backendfu, so webapps can be build even faster. This is it for now, later more information.
Re:Google Storage for Developers - Google Code on Friday May 28, 2010 @04:10AM (#1385977)
Looks like it's more expensive than S3 at this moment. USD 0.17/GB/Month vs S3: 0.15/GB/Month for storage. Curious to see if this is going to change. An extra competitor in this space will do no harm. Amazon has done a great job, but overall pricing can use some competition I think.

btw. during preview you get 100 gigabytes of data storage and 300 gigabytes of monthly bandwidth at no charge according to: http://code.google.com/apis/storage/docs/overview.html
