I made a promise to myself a year back that my next side project would be for-profit. For this project, I've written a hyper niche web app builder for Instagram influencers to sell digital cookbook subscriptions. Most food bloggers put together static eBook PDFs and sell them for a one time cost. ohfork.app is different in that the cookbooks can be added to over time, and charged via monthly...
Yes. Postgres stores the checkpoint on the source database replication slot. You can configure Debezium Engine to send checkpoints to the file /dev/null to disable the default external system checkpoint behavior.
The latest code on the master branch of displayplacer supports this. Run `displayplacer "id:34686E82-0CED-DF86-AFC7-AA1A8EB5CFC0 enabled:false"` with your screen ID and it will set the screen to all black plus remove the screen from the view of the OS. I'll cut the next release version after I add native Apple silicon support.
The latest code on the master branch of displayplacer supports this. Clone the repo and run `make` to build it. Run `displayplacer "id:34686E82-0CED-DF86-AFC7-AA1A8EB5CFC0 res:1440x2560 enabled:false"` with your screen ID and it will set the screen to all black plus remove the screen from the view of the OS.
Trust me, I considered it lol.
I've seen a few comments mention the description now. Thank you for the feedback. I wrote displayplacer because all the other tools were GUIs and I needed something scriptable. Consider using SwitchResX for a multi-display profile GUI tool.
As far as I understand, there is a low level race condition here. The order that the monitors come alive and initialize with the OS is non deterministic. This can cause the left monitor and the right monitor, for example, to swap IDs.
displayplacer lets you specify all those attributes you mentioned as shell command so you can fix everything with one "click".
I placed on order for an M2 MacBook for my wife last week. I'm planning on adding native support within a few months of the laptop arriving.
What caused the SLAP tear?
Thanks for the shoutout on displayplacer!
I dealt with a case of chronic patellar tendonitis for years between ages 23 and 26. Debilitating to the point where I could not go anywhere that would require me to stand in line. The book Healing Back Pain by John Sarno, which is basically the talking therapy you mentioned, was hugely transformative for me. I was able to stop fixating on the pain and focus on strength training knowing that flare up were no big deal. I'm recovered now and regularly skateboarding and standing in line again.
Edit: I should mention I spent upwards of an hour each day for those years doing physical therapy rehab. I turned down recommendations of surgery during that time as well.
Seitan, tempeh, lentils, and beans w/ rice are the highest protein to calorie ratio foods I eat. Sprouted seed bread, most nuts/seeds, and most vegetables are pretty high in protein as well. I supplement with pea protein isolate to reach very high protein intake levels for bodybuilding purposes.
Extremely low interest rates have cut high-yield savings account interest rates from over 2% to ~1%. Most folks would be better off with a high-yield checking account, which pay between 3% and 5%. However, high-yield checking accounts typically come with a catch; you must make `n` debit card transactions per month. Depending on the bank, `n` can be between 10 and 60.
I created Debbit to automate meeting these spending requirements. Debbit will programmatically buy 50 cent Amazon gift cards and/or pay your cable bill in small increments throughout the month. It's built to be a set it and forget it solution. Run it once and it will execute in the background using headless Firefox month to month. Behind the scenes Debbit is a hand rolled scheduler + Selenium automation.

I wrote an automated solution to spending requirements for high interest checking accounts. High interest checking accounts (up to 5% APR) often require a dozen or more transactions a month to qualify for high rates. Debbit automates this by purchasing 50 cent Amazon gift cards and/or paying your cable bill in small increments throughout the month.
Behind the scenes, Debbit is a hand rolled scheduler that runs Selenium automation to navigate Amazon + bill pay websites.

The accounts typically have sign up bonuses, not fees. I got $125 bonus for signing up. The catch is typically that they require usage of the bank debit card N times per month. The github link is a program I wrote to hit that requirement by buying 50 cent Amazon gift cards and paying cable bills in small increments.
You'll never net more than $1000/year in one of these accounts given they have balance limits. Some folks sign up for multiple high interest checking accounts in order to park more money.
It's not an absurd statement. Deadlifts improve so much musculature in your body which resolves/prevents injury. I had a 3+ year long knee injury from running and the only remedy was heavy squats. I was considering surgery and experimental stem cell injections since nothing was working. Thankfully I tried strength training before the alternatives.
It's important that people understand proper deadlift form though. It's a bit more complicated than just picking the barbell up off the ground.
This one's for the multi monitor devs using macOS.
macOS regularly forgets my pixel perfectly aligned monitor layout. I wrote displayplacer so that I could describe and apply monitor layouts (resolution/orientation/positioning) through the terminal. Now, upon plugging in, if my displays are all mixed up I hit a hotkey mapped through BetterTouchTool to apply a displayplacer profile.
Under the hood this is using Quartz Display Services to manipulate the displays. Let me know if this is useful and if there's any feedback.

I've found meal prepping to be a fantastic solution. I can make 5 meals in about an hour with my 4 burner stove. These meals are cheap, help me eat a lot of vegetables, and allow me to easily hit my macronutrient goals for strength training.
It's meant to be informational. I left out achievements, leaderboards, and flashy lights/noises so that I wouldn't encourage speeding. You'll find that for almost all driving scenarios that you save very insignificant amounts of time by speeding. Furthermore, based on my low daily active user count I'd conclude that Speedr isn't making speeding all that fun.
