I say 6h because it was crazy how fast I made it at that quality.

I just made any key press suffice to pressing "next".

Also made the ceiling block arrows now.

Let me know when you finish the game and what you think of it!

I didn't use them (I'm cheap), only used opus 5.5 the whole way. But seeing what was the possible with that floating island animation sparked a fire in my imagination

Thanks, I honestly just used claude code and use matt pocock's /wayfinder skill just for the first stage. I said use plain js and html, no external libraries. Then I used chatgpt's speech to text to transcribe what I wanted the first stage to look like. Plugged that into claude code with opus 5.5 (opus is unbeatable rn). It thought for 30min, I saw the result, asked for a few changes to the trees and a few stuff. And wala, it was done.

For the other stages I just transcribed my voice and it usually one shotted 95%. I made tweaks as needed to monsters or gameplay.

Music and sound effects was from https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page. Victory music from https://stocktune.com/free-music/pixelated-dreamscape-quest-...

What amazed me was the amount of taste claude had out of the box. The word taste might be overused, but claude made the church on the first stage perfectly. As well as the castle in the last stage. It knew what details to add to make it look real, I barely had to add detail.

How often do articles get deleted from the queue? Very odd

I read an article on how to create sprites (pixelated characters) using opus 5.5, and the results were crazy good. So I decided to make a medieval fantasy game, which I've been wanting to make for a while. Hope you enjoy!

Re:Show HN: Telemetry.sh – Simplifying Telemetry Measurement on Wednesday August 07, 2024 @02:26AM (#41178737)
Is this from exp? Could you elaborate?
Re:Show HN: Telemetry.sh – Simplifying Telemetry Measurement on Wednesday August 07, 2024 @02:25AM (#41178736)
sounds good. I wish I could get email updates about telemetry.

also I tried signup up and at the page titled "Where are you collecting telemetry from?", looks like I have to send dummy telemetry calls. It's friction and I'd rather explore the dashboard without having to set it up.

I wish I could also interact with dummy data during the onboarding flow. See what kind of queries I can do given some data.

In your opinion. why fluffer over a pwa?
How's it compare to Vercel's solution?: https://vercel.com/docs/analytics/custom-events
Will you open source your solution? Curious to see it
This is very vague. Is this a library you add in the codebase?

https://godview.app/features/rest-api says "Create and modify objects, send data and connect your sources using the powerful RESTful API.". Meaningless

Re:Show HN: Radius – A Meetup.com Alternative on Thursday June 20, 2024 @06:55PM (#40744353)
I finished making a carpooling site a few weeks ago that automatches people into the optimal groups based on their location. My site might be a good use case for you: https://antride.ca/. Would appreciate if you consider using it to save people gas and carbon emissions :)

Looks great! I finished making a carpooling site a few weeks ago that automatches people into the optimal groups based on their location. Your site would work really well with mines: https://antride.ca/. Would appreciate if you could share my site to group organizers.

Re:Link-Saving Discord Bot on Thursday June 06, 2024 @11:16PM (#40604968)
Cool idea, I share interesting posts I come across using screenshots with the link of the bot saved in the right folder. This seems a lot faster as I don't have to navigate to the right onedrive folder. On my phone it's pretty much impossible so I have to send it to a dummy discord server I made to later transfer on my pc.
I was thinking the creator shouldn't be forced to carpool as well. Although I can by default hide the fields to add their personal info, but if they check a checkbox at the bottom, those fields will show.

And yes, pickup address.

how so
Forgot to add: Had some extra time after graduating and while job searching so I made this. Very proud of it as I wish this existed for off campus soccer/events I would attend.
I like the idea but am unable to add one. I'm guessing they are LLM generated like someone suggested

Show HN: Auto-matching and optimized carpooling for groups

https://www.antride.ca/

How it works: - Organizer creates an event and shares the link to it - People sign up as riders or drivers - 48 hours prior to event, everyone gets a text message asking to confirm. - 24 hours prior to event, the optimized carpooling routes are created. Right now drivers are limited to a max route of 30 mins long, will be more flexible soon. Everyone is messaged their route details, related...

Re:.NET Myths Dispelled – Celebrating 21 Years of .NET on Tuesday March 08, 2022 @08:08PM (#30609759)
The performance benefits from a semi compiled language and static typing checking at compile time with C# is nice.
