Does anyone know if this is, or will be, powered by microformats?
Site looks okay so far. Is this just for movies? What's the feature that sets it apart from IMDB or rottentomatoes.com? I see there is a user karma, but I don't see what it's based off of other than ...contributions?
Anyway, looks like some potential here if you can get a user base, but I don't really get the benefit of joining or coming back on a regular basis.
I avoid using my phone for anything other than phone since "upgrading". At first I thought it was just the developer build, but no. It's just unusable.
Objective-C has bee around for a long time, and certainly isn't just for Cocoa/Apple.

Having tried Haiku a few weeks ago, I will say it has a lot of potential. The fact that is has a HIG (human interface guidelines) means it could actually go beyond a hobby OS. I'd like to see some more developers get behind this and see where it goes.
This is very good news. Less spammy shitty apps makes more room for real developers, and less frustration for users.
I don't on windows either.

Tried it out. Seems like a solid start, but noticed some things that bugged me.
Your main div is not actually centered for me, your logo could use some work (anti aliasing the circle portion), and you could maybe make us of gzip. Also, 11 br tags are not a good way of positioning your footer.

I prefer the idea of simplifying, or removing registration altogether. The only times registration will stop me from using a site is if I don't trust them with my email/password, and if that's the case, then the site probably sucks anyway.
Make a site worth coming back to, and I don't think people mind having to login (if you have a good "remember me" feature).
This looks spammy. Need to give my email address for more info? Why?
There are a few math books in the "Head First" series (which I always love). Those might serve more as refreshers for most people, but for a true math noob (like me), they have really helped.
OP here. First off, I see a lot of the comments have a very similar theme. 5 months is too soon to give up. Well, I haven't given up, I've only decided there is no business model without overhauling the concept (which I am not prepared to do for the moment).
I have watched traffic, and the habits of the users. The bounce rate could be lowered by tweaking some things, but there is not enough to bring users back on a weekly, or even monthly basis. I am open to suggestions, and will continue to watch my traffic. I have too many other decent ideas to sink more time into a fun site that has no business model (and don't tell me ad-supported is a valid option).

Uuhh, yeah. I don't think you'd need to be a programmer to that is altered. Also, I can tell from seeing a few shops in my time.
Same. It's really tough. I think the 3rd one is all that I'm missing, and I have no ideas for it.
I think it's needed, and I'd be for it. Should have quick references to algorithms, and some vector math, and intro physics for the people wanting to do game dev.
Check out http://mathworld.wolfram.com/ for some pretty good math resources (I've been really enjoying it).

This is a pretty awesome move from Google, but don't be fooled. Google has everything to gain, both from gaining would-be developers, and the PR.
Tech Crunch saying something like, "What will we see next week from Apple at its WWDC event? Probably nothing." is really ignorant on a lot of levels.
There are things you can do with C++ that you simply cannot with java. I would recommend learning enough java to pick up OOP concepts, and maybe even some design patterns. Getting to that point should take no more than 6 months (if you work with it daily).
