To all B2B SaaS providers – how do you ensure great customer experience?

Folks who are building B2B SaaS solutions - how do you ensure that all customers are getting great quality of experience? i.e. if you are hosted on AWS/S3, what if customer's WAN is slower/failed or someone configured incorrect FW policy or the DNS to AWS failed etc? How do constantly monitor and provide updates to the customer that may be running mission critical application using your SaaS...

Monitoring applications from remote site

I have to manage 32 sites that connect to various SaaS, AWS, Private DC locations and I was wondering if anyone has thought through ideas on how to provide "application quality of experience" monitoring. The AppNeta and other similar providers are quite expensive and require on prem equipments. The RMON capabilities are limited to network monitoring only. Thoughts/Ideas?

J This is fair. Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I'd definitely make sure that we have a CRUD layer for reliable & secure communication.

Thanks J. My worry with CRUD is a constant polling that would be required and it absolutely kills the battery on mobile handsets. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks Walterbell. This is useful and I'd investigate further. Looks like Firebase is a combination of Pubnub and Push.

Additional note: Could I just use XMPP or that may not be sufficient given that the mobile device connectivity could be intermittent? I would love to get the community thoughts on this so I can make the right decision.

Thanks Ritesh

How to: Reliable messaging system Mobile to Server

FolksI am building a simple customer service messaging system for businesses where customers can chat with Agents using mobile. In essence, the mobile app sends and receives messages to/from our server. Any recommendation on what kind of infrastructure should we use (pubnub, pusher, realtime.co) for messaging and the server side recommendation (RoR or node.ja - any issues with RoR?). It's...
