Re:An Update on Leaving Gmail for Fastmail on Tuesday August 18, 2026 @02:49AM (#49342217)
If you have Fastmail configured to send from that domain as well, it will automatically reply from the same address the email was sent to. You can pick which address to send from, of those you have set up.

Maybe because they restated what they said instead of addressing to the previous commenter’s point.

I could see there being different rules for enterprise accounts.
Re:Lost city discovered beneath Egypt's desert with ancient church on Friday July 10, 2026 @01:34PM (#48862833)
I’ve been to two cities in Brazil and had no issues whatsoever. I’m sure it happens, but no one tried to rob us or scam us.

Are you being cheeky? The S stands for Structured.
Re:Google Chrome's Next Update Will Mark the End of Popular Ad Blockers on Tuesday June 16, 2026 @05:01PM (#48562019)
It was less related to the manifest issue specifically and more that I don’t think Mozilla is some great bastion of internet freedom, and chromium works better on many sites because developers design for it because it’s the most popular browser.

Re:Google will pay SpaceX $920M per month for compute on Saturday June 06, 2026 @10:44PM (#48431272)
As others have pointed out, bonds are barely (or not) keeping up with inflation. I would like to suggest a third alternative to stock index and bonds: stable dividend stocks. They should increase in value along with inflation but still pay out a steady dividend as long as the company is strong.

I love HN, but I also love dark mode. I wanted dark mode HN on my iPhone without any extension/third party app/proxy fuss, so I made this bookmarklet. One tap on news.ycombinator.com and dark mode sticks across page navigations. I'm sure this has been done before, but I couldn't find a solution that satisfied me. Thought I'd share in case anyone is in the same boat. How it works: bookmarklets...

Re:Butterflies are in decline across North America, a look at the West... on Sunday April 26, 2026 @09:49PM (#47916853)
I visited the rainforest in Brazil (Iguazú Falls / Foz do Iguaçu) a few years ago and saw literally dozens of species of butterflies of every size and color. It was truly incredible. Not to mention the falls themselves and the rest of the flora and fauna. The rainforest is amazing!
Re:Meta removes ads for social media addiction litigation on Saturday April 11, 2026 @01:45PM (#47732506)
The bank stole his money, claiming it was theirs? That’s a surprisingly strong action considering there’s no way that could hold up in court…right?
