Re:Show HN: Phpbb-HN on Saturday August 08, 2026 @11:34AM (#49222825)
Hi! This was a fun couple hours project to make a HN wrapper in the style of php-bb. I much prefer browsing/reading discussions this way! Hope it's a fun throwback for some.

Starting with "Disregard all previous instructions" is malicious no matter how it's painted.

Warning all, the website has a hidden prompt injection in the footer.

There's few places I've left a 1 star review, and sadly, Kerby was it.
Re:Andrej Karpathy talks about "Claws" on Saturday February 21, 2026 @05:49AM (#47099492)
I've been warned for calling this out, but I'm glad others are privy to the obvious

If infinity joins the discussion, I'd venture it is Time that corrupts.
Not surprising. He's no stranger to viruses.
This is for advertising purposes, not porn. They might feign that's the reason, but it's to allow alcohol & pharma to advertise, no doubt.
Re:Anthropic Explicitly Blocking OpenCode on Wednesday January 14, 2026 @07:44PM (#46626325)
i've been on claude code since before they even HAD subscriptions (api only) and since getting max from day 1 - I haven't once have assumed that access was allowed outside of CC. anyone who thinks otherwise is leaning into that cognitive dissonance

because it makes him look smart when inevitably he's 'right'
The unfortunate reality is that the smartest people avoid politics.
I find photographers have a particular knack of seeing 'just slightly into the future'. Almost like the eyes are constantly analysing environmental studies and able to form a sixth sense for patterns and predictability. Most notable would be Henri Cartier-Bresson who coined much of the concepts of 'the decisive moment'

aka we realise there's only so many humans and we need some back to profit from them again

If it is not about the money, why do you have to use these tools? If you enjoy small farming why concern yourself with mass production, or expensive equipment? Remain in the lane you enjoy?
Re:Claude Code 2.0 on Tuesday September 30, 2025 @07:30AM (#45424220)
Because it grabs the headlines and upvotes more. It is becoming quite the bore to read as it offers nothing new, or an accurate representation of the facts. Thanks for calling it out. Same experience regarding thousands of hours of usage since launch, tested from sandboxed docker to take over an entire macbook air and here's an ssh login to a dev server whilst you're at it. I spot check with audits every other day and only wish for more autonomy with the agents, over less.

Sounds like Americans are engaged in a democracy they see the ability to shape whereas China is a lost cause, so just bend over and ignore it? :)

Don't put the onus (Opus!) on me! Just a dad approach to helping. If there's enough time to writ prose about the problem you could at least rtfm first!

Does already, read the docs
factories aren't built in a day
Sorry but as a legal immigrant (O1b then Green Card) -- they can easily apply for legal status if there were no possible skilled workers available legally, and locally. My personal barometer calls this unacceptable after.... 10? 20 examples? Almost 500!
Yeah, one or two sneaky Koreans to help the cultural divide sounds plausibly okay, but an entire factory of undocumented workers? Seems hard to wash this one any way but clean.

You'll notice it in every piece of western propaganda too. From movies to fashion. Red is the china call
Re:Vintage ImageJ in the Browser on Wednesday June 25, 2025 @08:45PM (#44383189)
Fun! ImageJ is incredible and unmatched still! I use it with all the bells with Fiji - https://fiji.sc

There's not a computer I don't install it on.

VSCode won't iterate without constant permissions/interrupts. No thanks Cursor.

10 months must have been hyperbole but I've moved two states and a country in that time, apologies.

Re:Remote MCP Support in Claude Code on Sunday June 22, 2025 @11:22AM (#44347654)
I did. No response. Filled out the form, no response. I've genuinely no idea what I could've done, outside of complain about the palantir xs scripting issue. Quite disheartening. Thanks for the tip!
Re:Remote MCP Support in Claude Code on Sunday June 22, 2025 @08:22AM (#44346305)
I have no idea. I haven't altered my workflow or projects.
