News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

I have no problem with monitoring temps over internet.

Who ever thought it was OK to control freezers over the internet should be hung.

Right......

Like none of these TV's hooks to an Open Wifi Hotspot and abuse you.

OK if we put that Genie back in the Bottle can we also go back to a time when Attorneys could not advertise on TV.

How much did that ruling cost?

Ambulance chasers have always been a thing but now it is nationwide syndicate of "Doctor Lawyers".

Total Shitshow for TV viewers...

Talking about "Varginal Mesh" lawsuit in front of children..

Disgusting.

The article said 10,000 people Illegally Crossed the border in this region.

Its not the VOTERS fault foreigners do not use border entry points.

We had a system of immigration that was abused by foreigners and now it has stopped.

Obviously written by a C freak using a BSD
I didn't see it that way. when Facebook started it was like an intimate club.

Classmates.com was charging money for reunion information and Facebook was free.

It was the IPO that really tipped the scales.

In that one day Zuck became a Billionaire with everybody else's information.

We were bamboozled. Subscription versus free but not really.

It should not be sold. But it is.

https://epic.org/issues/consumer-privacy/data-brokers/

Consumers are the product.

Opt out from snake oil salesmen.

Yea sure. If it helps you sleep better. It is the law.

In reality the data is already 'grey market' so I doubt the law matters to them.

Disappear and new data broker sets up shop. You think these people are regulated? I bet they swap datasets like Pokemon.

Surveillance Capitalism is an apt description.

No one voted for it but here we are. Flock on every strategic corner.

Surely you are joking.

Once collected why would a data broker want to purge your record?

There is no escape.

Thankfully most cities were not stupid enough to buy lead lined pipes.....

I agree.

Even if you walk by a FLOCK camera you are catalogued.

Sickening bravado of these privacy stealing folk.

Use your brain to solve problems not a computer.
Whats worse is the town has snubbed its residents:

https://www.axios.com/local/atlanta/2026/04/17/dunwoody-floc...

How did a Jewish Community Center end up allowing FLOCK to access its security cameras?

Pool and Gymnastics seem like sensitive places unless PEDO.

I agree with much of what you say. Adding a second display port was not something anybody needed.

Desktop computer was a reach. Even for BeagleBone.

I am surprised RK3566 and RK3568 still don't have good UEFI-EDK2 support.

RK3588 has great UEFI-EDK2 support. I wish somebody would backport RK356x and RK3399 boards....

The pace of development is too fast. We don't need more aarch64 CPU but better support. RISC-V adds to the mayhem.

Like we need that...

The Open Source Hardware Dream.

I worked in a machine shop of a large shipyard and 20 years ago they had CNC Winders for rebuilding armatures for Navy ships.

They replaced older versions that were NC winders.

So this "hand wound" story is just that.

Windings going into Oil Tank? I think you mean varnish tank... After the rotating assembly is balanced they go into a protective coating tank that is a varnish.

Thanks for clarifying.

I wonder who is slandering her more... WOW

Maybe the citys insurance carrier hired a FIRM...

They will be taking a hit.

That is the first I have heard of that. A small unexplained blurb in this article. Already in jail on parole violation..

Maybe she objected to the extradition order without good counsel.

"I aint never been to N.Dakota". She found out the hard way how the law works..

What about the banks being hit. Surely they have good cameras. This was bad mojo. I would think a Wells Fargo/BoA has a unit for this stuff.

Finincial crimes handled like this. The banks will be sued too I suspect.. Deep pockets settle out.

Indeed let out on Christmas Eve with no money 1000 miles from your homeland.

Where your home was lost to foreclosure because one JUDGE did not look at the paperwork.

There should be a way to personally sue somebody when they don't do their job. Protecting the innocent. The JUDGE failed badly here.

Flimsy evidence would mean no warrant. Do your basic investigation please... Rubberstamping JUDGE caused this.

Why are they not named? Like they are a spectator. Infact they are the cause.

Yes but a judge issued the warrant in the first place.

Cops did not do a proper investigation and the judge green-lighted it.

It is all on the JUDGE or possibly a magistrate who approved a faulty warrant.

The judge failed the poor woman. FIRE him.

Then sue Clearview for big bucks.

Regardless China was monitoring everything very easily.

I applaud Carter for trying to rescue our hostages in 1979.

So sad to see our military failed so badly. The plan seemed conceivable...

Yet outrageous. The distance to Tehran so far.

Sometimes you got to do something. Even if against all odds.

Surely there are some shipping expenses though? For Global Oil.

Versus the Colonial Pipeline that is prevalent on the Eastern Half of US.

I agree. Why is domestic oil linked to global oil price?

We are energy independent? Big Oil is milking US.

Evil like holding US Embassy Staff hostage for 444 days?

It has been a long time being kicked in the face by these jackals before finally somebody did something.

I approve even if gas is now $1/GAL more.

I hope we have teams in Yemen too taking advantage of the cut off of war supplies.

Wipe out the axis of evil for good. We cannot afford to be the worlds police.

I have just experienced this. They raised HR exec up to VP level so they could investigate another VP to ultimately fire them.

Then once the BAD VP was fired the owner fired the HR VP and the the replacement was not a VP.

DirtyDeeds.DoneDirtCheap.

Not really. Most all companies have Binding Arbitration built into employment contracts.

What lawyer wants to have their pay limited thusly?

You can hire your own lawyer for the proceedings but no jackpot payouts in arbitration.

I think California should not get to set any standards whatsoever.

They are lost in their ways.

https://abcnews.com/US/wireStory/men-attacked-san-francisco-...

They are in crisis mode on the streets yet worrying about the internet?

https://abc7news.com/post/2-men-arrested-allegedly-attacking...

Would have. Could Have. Should have.

Most humans would be halfway into other lane after seeing kids near the street.

Apologist see something different than me.

Perception.

Unchecked capitalism?

The new NY city mayor wants to convert parks into low income housing.
