The other day I was trying to read some article (tutorial of sorts) and it was just slop after slop after slop, it was in that LLM language which I can't describe but it just felt like ChatGPT wrote the whole thing, art music literature made by humans is what I look forward to
As for the programming part, programming has always been a creative field and I don't feel it has been "ruined" by AI, it's just that a lot of people have suddenly unlocked a dimension of sorts where they can explore their creativity without having to go through all the syntax, structures and nuances associated with programming

It's crazy that we talk about LLMs, AI/ML and what not but so many fields still don't use computation as much as we think they do simply because they cannot reliably keep up with the advancements happening almost everyday and people simply forgetting about backwards compatibility in their products

Definitely agree with edge computation, although inference extensively researched and funded if SOTA LLMs hit a dead end tomorrow, there is still a lot to explore and research in inference and edge computation

I did read the article, frontier labs have been fearmongering to gain government regulations on open source open weights models to justify their trillion dollar valuations
Jacob Coxon worked with a doomer PR firm over his statements regarding AI safety

Trillion dollar valuation with billions of dollars of losses is what's behind the AI panic

They want to brew fear in the public minds for government regulations to justify their Trillion dollar valuation and billion dollar losses
Ask HN: What would be the best local ASR model
I keep coming back to the thought of what would be the best model for ASR in terms of hardware constraints and a balanced WER

Wonder if there's a scenario where this also works for PQC ML-KEM

I think it's the idea or my understanding of the paper that stays with me instead of the abstract
