Could you give more context on the benchmarks included in the repo?

Ask HN: B2B startup originated from a Reddit post – what launch/growth strategy?

As the title says I’ve been working for about a month on a SaaS startup project that pretty much originated from a Reddit post that went viral. A bit of context: A few months ago I started working on a python algorithm that takes people data (linkedin & other sources) and turns them into organizational charts (example: https://i.ibb.co/swCt7Z6/image.png). I coded this for an organizational...

Oh that's weird, I'll definitely check! I only tested it on Chrome from pc & mac and is working well. Note: I suggest you give it a go from a laptop, the visualization is not yet optimized for smartphone

Hi everyone, I wanted to share with you my organization charting/ visualization project. I started working on this for an organizational research class, but I though that it could potentially be useful in other scenarios (e.g. consulting or sales) so I developed it further.

Right now the script takes into account mainly the person's job title and the location. Job titles are matched against a library of macro positions, to understand the functional role. Location is normalized and then used to identify offices, countries and regions and group accordingly. These data are then fed into a random forest algo that sketches out a best guess of the lines of reporting.

Hope you guys will find it interesting/ useful and if you have any feedback I'd love to hear!

Why are so few people on HN into defi & ETH?

I kind of struggle uderstanding this and really curious to hear why. I saw many projects being posted/ showcased here on HN which got an incredibly low traction despite being at the very edge of technology/finance/game theory.TLDR HN doesn't care about crypto/Defi. Why?

Show HN: I built a Dapp to Automate Dollar Cost Averaging from DAI-ETH

As the title says, I built a tool that allows you to buy a constant amount of ETH (with DAI) at regular intervals. For example, if you decide to buy 100DAI worth of ETH every week, dca.land will send 50 DAI from your wallet to Uniswap, swap them with ETH at the current price & send them back to your wallet, and will do this once per week.I built this as a side project for personal use and...

Yeah you’re right, it’s pretty messy. There is a fair amount of thinking that went there
Great observation, these are in roadmap if there is demand

Ask HN: Feedback on my online store builder collecting payments in ETH

Customers can simply buy via Metamask. The project stemmed from my experience with uniswaproi.com, where I allow users to purchase paid plans with Metamask. Thanks, that may be really helpful. Will see if I manage to find a copy

Ask HN: Self-taught devs – anybody struggling with Git/code mgmt too?

As per title: I program since I was 14 on various languages, but don't have a formal CS education. My coding skills served me well as I was able to build a saas product and company which we sold a few months ago - so I'm pretty happy with them. However, I'm self taught and I never quite worked as part of a large professional team, so my knowledge of code management/ git/ cicd practices and...

Re:Show HN: My latest product on Tuesday January 14, 2020 @06:43AM (#22043878)
Hi HN, I wanted to show you Principal, the last product I built!

Principal allows you to create engaging 1:1 presentations for your target customers. For example you can create business cases, analyses or just qualitative content personalized for your most strategic prospects.

At the core, think of Principal as Google sheet + zapier + Google slides + Tracking. You search datapoints on your accounts, load them in the provided Google Sheet and load up your presentation. The system will create many versions of the doc, individualized for each of your accounts. Getting started video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSiFdy-36U4

The ideal use cases is b2b sales (especially to high-ticket enterprise customers), but it can also work well for other cases where you want to communicate individual value to your prospect. If you have any thoughts or feedback, I’d love to hear from you!

Totally agree, thanks for your insights!
Thanks!!
It's hard to say since the tool was not only free, but didn't even require signing up (see for example comproi.com, its sister-site which is still free and no-sign-up). My estimate is about 200 free users, but could be off. We'll see how many they actually sign up now (so far about 50)

Just introduced paid plans in my SaaS and got the first paying customer

As per the title, Today I just introduced a couple of paid options for my Saas and I just recorded the first payment, for a yearly Pro plan ($150).The tool is in the niche of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and allows users to calculate their returns when investing in Uniswap, a (super-interesting) protocol which is getting pretty popular within the Ethereum community. I launched it as a totally...

Hey guys, I wanted to share this weekend project with you.

Showparcels allows dropshippers/eCommerce stores to create a branded and customized shipment tracking page for their customers.

It also allows to display related products on the order tracking page for up/cross-sell customers when they visit it to check their delivery status. Since many people check the tracking pages very often, you get quite a lot of free traffic you can use to try to convert them again. You are also able to implement your Facbook pixel or any other retargeting pixel on the page.

I've integrated multiple tracking APIs to get shipments data, so it basically works with all the major 600 carriers worldwide.

Please reply to the post if you have any questions or feedback for me!
