Hi, long time reader lurker etcI've often wondered about this and can't figure it out. Why don't Google Maps and the likes have a way to say: that road is closed! Often it'll keep sending you back to the same road no matter how far away you drive (even in the opposite direction) , because it's much closer than any other way.But I want to tell it that the bridge is jammed and driving 25 minutes...
What do you mean by "so cold google exploits?"
If it's a typo for "so called", I'd still love some info on what google exploits are.
I thought you said, the curse is worse than the disease... which also would've made sense.
I have an honest question. Why would anybody, ever, make an order number that only has 5 digits. Even if it's just a home-hobby project, the cost of changing to 7-10 digits is so small a d negligible that I can't see any reason for choosing anything lower. Like the 640k that was once "enough for the long term future" in DOS. I understand that hindsight is 2020, but can't wrap my head around not starting bigger when there's no extra cost (nearly).
Could you shed some light on that?
The logic completely eludes me. Tax shipping and give the money to public transport. That's the bill. What's the connection between those two?
As a 14 year old, learning to code and having written some small programs, I got word that the woman (27) I thought I was in love with, was getting married. It was just a crush but at that hormone filled age, my mind was a mess (almost as bad as it is now! )
It's common to play games and have other activities at wedding parties here. So I spent about a week developing Get The Picture software, to be used at the wedding.
Man I was so nervous it would crash or something, but it all went fine.
I remember the weird kiddo feeling that if I could have some influence over what happened at their wedding, my crush wouldn't have _really_ been lost. Oh the cringe...
If it truly was at the time of the original silkroad, you have to consider the change in value of btc since then to get a more realistic idea of the size and value of their business. Not saying it wasn't big, no idea, just stating we should consider that fact.
I couldn't get past two headlines before hitting the X in the forner
With the first thing you see being a request to pay (buy in print!!) and the second being a headline like "feminism needs capitalism like a fish needs a bicycle", well, I can't take it too seriously or "different".
Thank you, because you wrote this, I too now understand what they meant. My train of thought was apparently on the same track as yours!
From the article, which I find to be a nice read, this part particularly rings true to me:
"Pick team leaders wisely. A team leader is not an average developer with secretary duties no one else wants to carry out. A team leader is an inspiring master craftsperson; the role model; a person other teammates aspire to become. A team leader promotes technical excellence, spreads optimism, mentors people, and gives away the most interesting tasks to others."
Think bigger than what you see on the news please.
What you're describing is low level corruption. Now consider how many construction projects and government services are being 'outsourced' or 'privatized' and take wild guess how much money is ending up in the wrong pockets at that game. Not to mention the lack of quality control and general oversight that often comes along with it.
That's much worse than some traffic cops taking a cut or bribe. Which is also bad. But first the major corruption should be dealt with.
They are not talking about how they schedule and manage the family life. They are talking about desperately needing some time away from the family. Which is normal and healthy (depending on whether you discuss it and make time for yourself, or whether you escape trough alcohol and ridiculous amounts of time at work).
After a week - at most - none of the millions of users sees the "photoshopped image" anymore, it'll become ubiquitous. Mostly due to the fact that each and every image will have that label / text
I'm hereby patenting an idea or company that let's you input a story, a use some gui to modify the looks of each character, and let the tool this company provides, create a porn to your liking - per your provided input.
Even if it's in drawing/hentai form and not 'real' people.
Big bucks to be made!
Me too, mbpro 2013 or 2015 I'm not sure. Music or video keeps playing, input freezes. Very rare, but not rare enough to not notice.
Standing at a crossroad in my life right now, your friend Michael has some really insightful quotes. Thank you.
You can connect it to a regular (debit) bank card. Or a credit card. But not a prepaid credit card if they even have those anymore in the mainland.
I suspect if you're logged into Google or Facebook, that's uniquely added to the exif data. So if there is later a question of who keeps anonymously uploading that banned photo, they can trace you as the person (at least being the first link in the chain).
Also, statistics how many images are downloaded and then later found online again by Facebook at other places.
The article states that the real (long-term) goal of Facebook here is being an authority on proving identity.
They will be, or want to be, a worldwide provider of a kind of service, which is proving your identity. Which would tie the entire world population to their platform(s) even more.
I'm pretty sure most people have switched social media platform (geocities, MySpace, Facebook, snapchat, etc) more often than voluntarily switching banks.
Definitely an interesting idea, I should check the scene to figure out how many 'adversaries' are actually scanning robots.txt files.
It's dauntingly scary that people seem to have already forgotten that FB is known and has been ousted for abusing every bit of power and information they are given. And now you're excited that there's another aspect of your personal info, perhaps the most important part that they'll get (some kind of) control over? Increasing their power as a company overall as well.. Really mind blowing!
Based on mroe than just this comment, have a serious talk with yourself
Procrastination is often not about being lazy, but a deeply embedded or burried fear of failure. That being said, being overwhelmed can also stop you from taking action of any kind, and a part of fixing that pattern (which has usually already developed once you start to recognize procrastinating is a provlem for you) is indeed cutting everything into bite sized chunks.
Situation has been resolved as of now.
That was... really interesting to read with a early 2000's mindset (seeing the date of the article)
Because the NSA has an unknown exploit on Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader, and therefor wants as many downloads of this malicious pdf as possible. From people like us, in positions like us.
/s....?
As user 'thrower123' replied, I was busy jackin it and playing with girls which obliterated my previous schedule of learning 24/7 and being eager to do so.
I genuinely despise the change that lead to who I am. But as I write this I also realize that it was all me and this is just a bunch of self pity and I'm being a whiny little bitch that should not be scared of doing stuff for fear if not being as easy/able to as when I was younger. Fear of failure? Possibly. Probably. I'm too drunk to keep going and need help. Or money so I can take some time off and work on myself physically and mentally.
Disagree. The net cost for the past year and the next two years that this 'war' is being played out, will be a large number. The net profit for either side, if measured across the board and not only mentioning we got X amount of dollars in import taxes, will be a large negative number. Things will change, both sides will become stronger om certain points, but the total game is a loss for all involved.
