Ask HN: Do you use SSIS (sql server integration server)?

If you use ssis would you be interested in a new application to review packages? One click get to any property (including script tasks) with no more dialog boxes etc.Would you possibly take a quick look at this survey, only 5 questions! It would really help me out!https://ed277.typeform.com/to/Rs8Gzd

Re:Show HN: https://Miwiti.com deployable side projects on Wednesday July 05, 2017 @11:43AM (#14703315)
Hey :)

It depends on your deployment options.

If for example it is .net code to azure websites then probably vsts is a good option.

If you want to deploy code to an aws vm then I'll setup a Jenkins instance for you.

When you sign up I'll go through the options and figure out what is best for your particular use case.

In time I will offer a few options you can choose from.

Show HN: https://Miwiti.com deployable side projects

Hi,I have set up this service to help people, HN people :) start side projects. The idea is that whenever we start a new project we need to:- Register a domain - Setup email - Setup cloud flare - Setup google analytics - Create a deployment pipeline - Deploy somewhere - Configure DNS to support all thisWhenever I do this I spend at least 3-4 hours doing this on a project that might not go live...

Re:Ask HN: How do you manage cloud costs? on Saturday May 20, 2017 @02:55PM (#14383750)
Cool I'm thinking of doing something for azure but not sure if anyone cares (anyone seriously using azure gets lots of free credits) :)

Cheers Matt - it is more how do I make sure we aren't spending money on things we don't need - we have lots of developers and whenever I go through everything manually I end up seeing things that aren't being used.

Ask HN: How do you manage cloud costs?

In large teams it is pretty easy to end up with things like unused vm's, files stored and forgotten about in s3/blobs etc, machines left running over weekends etc when not in use.How do people make sure they aren't wasting money like this or don't they? Thanks!

Show HN: Simple project planning / task organiser

Hi,This isn't quite finished but I wanted to see if I could get some early feedback? The idea is a simple task organiser with a timer and a way to estimate how long a project will take.Do you think this would bhave useful? I'm thinking more single developer or maker:http://www.ticktockdone.com/app2.htmlThanks!

Is accepting PayPal good enough?

I'm trying to launch an mvp and torn over whether having a paypal button rather than implementing stripe or something. If you went to a saas site and they only accepted paypal would you be put off?The doubt in my mind is that it doesn't look very professional
