Way to answer my question. Thanks.
> Let's not fall for a superficial definition of "intellectually interesting".
Sure. Can you provide some examples of what's allowed and not allowed then? Because "anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity" actually covers each and every topic in the world. When you exclude one topic, you're actually demeaning people who find that topic interesting.
Yes, HN is the appropriate place for this type of posts.

Yet another bad-after-sale-support story. Why is this on HN? If you go stand at any laptop brand service centre, you'll hear 50 such stories everyday.
Either there is more to this story, or the OP went to one illiterate customer care guy. OP should go and show them the official website and maybe make him/her talk to a customer care executive over phone.
+ number of people who are really leaving the site.
Do check the permission it requires.
You either have an account, or don't. First one says you have, second one you don't.

It only proves that HN has at least 16(points at the time of this comment) Indian users.

If you are stuck with Flickr's "URL Not Found" error after clicking the "Try Our New Photo Experience" button, delete the cookie key named "flrbp" and refresh. And Voila!
The way things are, people are going to post on HN if Linus farts and others would upvote.
Why is He the tony stark and not the people who have been working with leap motion devices for years now?

Agree to what you said. Right now my mind is too distracted to think about what I want to do in granular level. But yes, doing something meaningful is always top of the list. It helps me get motivated to think that what I'm doing will help others.
Yes. I know. I'm a bit confused. But I think I have a grasp on it now. Thanks. :-)
That's a lot more encouragement than I hoped for. I was just confused if doing what I want is right or wrong, if not having a greater goal is wrong. I have some clue about it now.
The link was very helpful. Thank you.

I'm 23. I've been working at startups since I was 19 and I have worked in about 4 startups till now. One thing I've seen is that everyone wants to do something that will change the world. Every other day I see a post somewhere that says that some guy has an idea that will change the world. But what bothers me is that everyone is rushing. Everyone is in hurry. No one wants to take time to...
