Re:The AI cost of JavaScript frameworks on Monday November 02, 2026 @08:26AM (#50336526)
Well personally I would not gloat about my genius non-framework code if it had files with "thousands of lines".

How many colleagues have worked with your codebase?
Max+ plans now have the 5h limit lifted for "verified accounts" apparently.
In France they don't exist.
Re:PHP 8.2.35 on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @01:35PM (#50184662)
Is Pie (which I learned about it today) a painless migration from PECL?
Re:PHP 8.2.35 on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @01:09PM (#50184304)
Yeah I got repeated error for igbinary (and then find out I didn't use redis in this project and could remove it).
Re:PHP 8.2.35 on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @12:56PM (#50184090)
Hard to deploy if you also install extensions from PECL right now (probably slammed).

Re:The smartest Claude Code feature is not for its users on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @04:15AM (#49989782)
I noticed Claude seems more assertive in its code change lately, it's sometimes good, sometimes annoying.

Just when they finally toned down the obnoxious verbosity...

I'll admit I'm currently not up to speed on having multiple features worked at the same time, with git worktrees etc.
A bit tongue-in-cheek but I'm amazed by people that don't open an IDE or look at code. Are you paid to press enter at anything that Claude present to you?

Personally I usually use Claude inside the Jetbrain's IDE terminal, even if I code by hand obviously less. I still like using the diff, navigation, quick access to any file path for my prompt etc but maybe that won't last.

(edit: although I currently use an old perpetual fallback license because I didn't like the last price increase especially as they slowly remove what I like in the UI)

> Okay so which specific cultural religious and ethnic backgrounds are causing trouble and what empirical evidence do you have of this happening on a large scale?

Feigning to not know, is knowing.

For the few pages I saw on X it's actually tiresome to read.

Lots of short sentences. Lots of weird metaphors. Many infamous "it's not x, it's y".

Well, he has been evicted from the Goncourt.

No Twitter was also sometimes walled off. Elon Musk actually opened it back at the start.

Instagram is also hard to browse without an account.

It's all so annoying.

Re:Why is Google still serving dodgy ads? on Sunday September 13, 2026 @02:25PM (#49687043)
I have a website with some adsense ads (that pay for the server).

I try blocking the most obvious scams by blocking the announcers but it's basically impossible because the same dodgy ones keep coming back with a new name.

Also hard because they're not always in a language you understand.

I don't think I should do all this work instead of the biggest ad company in the world just to earn 5€ per day, but I'm also not aware of any better alternative.

It feels like Alexa / Google Home all over again.
They had a revenue of $416 billion in 2025.

That would be like you buying something at the dollar store.

Soulseek is working fine.

But to be honest I never found TPB (or rarbg etc.) really useful for music.

Re:GPT-6 Astra on Friday September 04, 2026 @07:22AM (#49563100)
That's not far off the ads for smartphones with things that I never see people doing in real life.

Currently there's a Google Pixel ad where a grandma takes a photo of a board and Gemini automatically fills her calendar with all the events. Yeah sure.
