It would be interesting to know if this skill had been trained in by OpenAI to use for improving their smaller models.
We really need a foundation that trains open source models. You know what like OpenAI was supposed to be.
Meh getting them elected is one thing can they overcome the institutions and the bureaucracy stuffed with corrupt friends and former politicians that’s completely different.
If they win congress and the senate every bill will be vetoed anyway and they won’t have the votes to override the veto. It will be two years of paralysis.
Wait so Microsoft gutted their AI Division and Microsoft looks like it did as well from the list of "departments" that are in the approved buyout list. Does this mean they are just going to be resellers of the big models companies going forward?
Hah not always. I worked at a bank where they offered this and I applied and I was denied and told I was essential.
It's reality and I do not make a difference if the activist is from the left or right of political spectrum. I don't play on either of your teams.
No because I'm not captured ideologically. You can run open source models (which are ever improving) and there is no moat for AI neither in software or hardware. Look at yourself in the mirror and tell me it's not the pot calling the kettle black.
Colonialism is so overused as a term it's pointless. By this logic China is doing Electric car colonialism and Bangladesh apparel colonialism.
I'm a person who believes an activist has already decided the conclusion and just finds whatever facts they need to fit their narrative. They also use BS terms like AI colonialism and other nonsensical meaningless words to manipulate people emotionally.
So yes I think this is claptrap of the first order that exists so people can pretend it's of any value to reaffirm their echo chamber.
I saw "AI colonialism", looked at her LinkedIn and yeah she is an activist so all objectivity is out the door.
Is this new party cohesive enough or will it split into infighting?
That game was terrible but still better than Tongue Of The Fatman from a couople of years before
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLq5eDsiPOs which was truly horrible. I had a friend who had a 3DO with Samurai Shodown at the same time as One Must Fall 2097 and I was so envious.
I don't know if someone is able to "enjoy" their work in general that is on top of a pyramide of people who probably don't enjoy their job.
I mean is this not most of human existence through history though? A very small part of the world has the luxury of enjoying their job.
And island big enough to sustain itself preferable not with with winters as you will need energy (panels), food and barrier.
A collapsed society in a place like Northern Europe would be terrible as it relies on a lot of complex technology to keep the modern lifestyle going. None of the Scandinavian countries are self sufficient in food.
I don't think it will work at all.
I'm not sure Sweden is where I would try to hide out if the world was ending.
We have this discussion with some public customers who want to use LLMs in our products. So far there is no official policy for the public sector so we are telling them to bring their own LLM model either by deploying models to azure in the region they want thus sifting the responsibility onto their contract with Microsoft and off our plate or sign a contract where they acknowledge they understand the risks of using third party llms (we offer, open ai, claude and mistral as providers for now).
Doomerism + Wishful thinking. We are what ~3 years into mass adoption of llm tech? Every couple of months it improves. Jev came out a couple of months ago and there is nothing that makes me believe that it will not improve over time as people fine tune small models to work better over time.
To be honest I have the third one on my ever growing list of games to play. I have been told it's pretty decent and kind of the last game Bioware actually delivered on.
I just found the encounters were very repetetive as I remember. I had just finished the first one two weeks before the second one came out.
I have started to use Vivaldi a lot due to the it's built in profiles making it easy to test our application or having multiple instances open at the same time.
It became a corporate job instead of a smallish team excited about building the games they wanted to play.
I just remember dragon age 2 to feel rushed and underdeveloped. The scale also felt a lot smaller than the original.
If you read what they are actually and put 2 and 2 together no they are not reducing co2 generation.
China continues to expand coal and fossil-fuel capacity—adding roughly 20 GW of coal power in early 2026 and seeing fossil emissions tick up 2% in Q1 2026—even as it leads the world in building massive amounts of solar, wind, and electric-vehicle infrastructure.
The stated goal is.
2030 Goals: China aims to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030, bring non-fossil fuels to 25% of total energy consumption, and peak coal and oil usage.
But that 25% is of a growing energy pool which means the co2 production will keep increasing and increasing as the total power generation grows.
If they double the power production but still keep 25% of it in carbon based they have doubled the co2 production.
Actually what has happened is that we exported our "cleanish" industry to areas that don't care so pollution shot up and co2 as well. The outsourcing fuelled a lot of the co2 production over the last couple of decades. We now have a dirtier and more polluting industrial base world wide than what we had 30 years ago.
We are better off focusing on the top 10 countries and just forget about the rest. But we don't we do symbolic things that do not matter. Why?
Top CO₂ Emitters by Total Volume
• China: ~13.12 billion tons (9.13 tons per capita)
• United States: ~4.63 billion tons (13.59 tons per capita)
• India: ~3.15 billion tons (2.19 tons per capita)
• Russia: ~2.01 billion tons (14.06 tons per capita)
• Japan: ~972 million tons (7.79 tons per capita)
• Iran: ~829 million tons
• Indonesia: ~812 million tons
• Saudi Arabia: ~653 million tons
• South Korea: ~588 million tons
• Germany: ~580 million tons
Freaking love it lol. Very cool idea got sucked into rolling up the corporate site.
Only if Flash stagnates as a technology. I suspect it will in the next 5 years due to reliability but you never know.
It's compressed air from what I can read and it contains a compressor to refill the tank.
A concept car, primarily a track car I think. I would think less than 10000 will be sold but some of the tech will make it into other models over time and the tech could be interesting for military application. Jumping Humvees like cars anyone?
