Somebody at the LA Times is incredibly receptive to PR people: first friendfeed profile and now weebly. Great scores guys!
While programmers keep UI in mind, a UI designer and a programmer are two very different things...
I agree with their model and love what they write, though I do think that they could post a picture of themselves and it would get voted up here just the same.

Working on building out a user support and help section and am curious if there are any shining examples of how to do it correctly out there? What things does a good user support section need to include?Integrating things like screencasts, faqs, tips, and documentation all into one central place etc...
It always surprises me when people go looking for good AND cheap. There is a difference between cost and value.

People bag on some of the News sites for being to fluffy, too gossip filled, etc...I've just started a site to cover technology and startups in the Midwest: http://windywire.com and I'm looking for feedback to create the type of site we'd all like to see.So I'm coming to you guys for feedback, what features, what style of writing, what mashups would you like to see in a tech news site?

Wanna make the quality of the community better? Submit better things, be more selective about your upmods, make better comments but dont flood it with dramatic I'm leaving posts.
By doing so you're contributing to the the very problem that caused you to leave...
Entrecard is a startup from the kid who made that million dollar wiki gimmick I believe. From what I read it wouldnt surprise me if he was spamming news.yc himself
Whats amazing is that before the internet you would have never even considered questions like this so early and immediately in the life cycle of a business.

I think the best part about this is the fact that it lets you see the apparent color when displayed on the page not just the color by itself.
