That's a great idea. I'm not sure about screen reader support, but it's definitely feasible to put the raw text of a post into the metadata for an image.

We would also have to check whether Twitter preserves this data when it's uploaded with a tweet.

Check out Assembly.com as a potential option :)

(this involves releasing under GPL)

This is great! Wonder if using this in a classroom setting would help demonstrate concepts better (since it's easier to play with and adjust)

Building a periodic table of programming languages; suggestions/feedback?

Hello everybody, I want to learn some front-end development/design (Angular.js, D3.js), so I am resurrecting an old project that I did to learn Rails almost three years ago.Anything that you would want to see besides the list of all the languages (currently colored by type of language: OO, procedural, functional, etc.)? Re:Ask HN: Who Is Hiring? (July 2012) on Tuesday July 03, 2012 @11:31AM (#4194475)
New York, NY. Full time. H1B Okay. Meddik - Rails developers

We're a venture-backed, three-month old startup in New York City that aims to revolutionize the way people discover health information online. Meddik empowers users by providing a health-specific platform where users can ask questions, share content, and learn from the collective experience and insight of people who’ve been there.

We’re looking for someone to craft an experience that users will love and break the tradition of health sites being clunky and impossible to use. As one of the first few hires, you will play an important role in helping define company culture and giving feedback in building out the team.

We're looking for:

Back-end engineer

- Test-driven development, Ruby on Rails

- Experience with databases and data architecture is a plus

- Experience or willingness to learn NLP and machine learning is a plus

Front-end engineer

- Responsive design

- Javascript, CSS

- Experience with creating original artwork is a plus

To apply, please send a resume, descriptions of your past favorite projects, and a short email about yourself to [email protected]

this is pretty cool. The "find a medical practice" tool is a great use of data on care quality. kudos for making this data easily accessible to the general public!
