Prior to Appstark, we were building games and we had to recruit beta testers. We recruited around 800 beta testers for our game on Android, all without a single blog covering us. I will do follow up post about it.

Thanks for the feedback Denis. We will improve and try to do better next time.
I agree with your point that turn around time for feedback is slower in mobile apps. I think the problem is that in the web its easier for users to communicate with you. The communication channels available for mobile app users are very limited. Appstore is where users are ranting about the apps.

We have built a way for users can directly talk to the developer inside mobile apps. Check it out at http://appstark.com

Testflight does not help you capture the user emotion. It is very important to find out how the user views a certain feedback. Does he view it as a suggestion, question or a problem, it helps to know how big a pain point it is.

Nice to see app developers embracing the idea of gathering feedback inside their apps.

We have built a similar solution that any app developer can use right now. Check it out at http://appstark.com

Haha i didnt notice it till you said it.

Thank you. The best part of building a startup is getting feedback like this. It made my day.

Does this apply to tech entrepreneurship. How big a part does luck play in tech startups?
We concentrated a lot on the Single player game play and moved the multiplayer aspect to a separate tab called "Challenges". We will work on making it easier.

Thanks

Sorry it was a typo, we are starting with 44 quizzes but we will be adding more quizzes every week.
We need the internet access, so that we can add more quizzes to the app. We will be adding new quizzes every week.

We provide carrier billing with our app. So we need that SMS permission.

Contact permission is required for integrating with Openfeint.

Sorry to ask for these permissions. We take your privacy very seriously.

This is our first app. Please give us feedback

Show HN: Review my Startup (no more 'force close' or 'crashed unexpectedly')

We are building a way for mobile app developers to communicate with their users during crashes and otherwise. We want to enable developers to communicate better during downtime. There have been many cases where the app is crashing for only a few users and the developer takes a huge hit in terms of app store ranking. In some cases even if the developer fixes the problem, it takes time for users...

Our product is similar to them but not the same. We both are trying to develop solutions to the same problem and trying to find the product market fit. Since they are not charging for their service and we are, do you think it would effect our chances of finding product market fit. Do you think we are making it harder for us to find product market fit.
Could you give me an example of both types of product please. It would help me think about it better.
