They went out of business.
How much does that generate?
Re:Dalai Lama: Behind Our Anxiety, the Fear of Being Unneeded on Friday November 04, 2016 @03:01PM (#12875011)
I'd also be owning a house or a farm not renting.

Not really in every aspect. Frank Sinatra was replaced by Justin Bieber. How is that better? :)
Re:How Steve Jobs Became a Billionaire on Thursday November 03, 2016 @01:55PM (#12866286)
Yep. Logically speaking, what is the probability of billionaire regaining his wealth if he's stripped off his fortune and contacts? 0.000000001 (almost like the rest of us).
Re:Visual Studio Code 1.7 on Wednesday November 02, 2016 @08:23PM (#12860605)
Ah, it's one or the other. That sucks but thanks for the clarification.

I can't see horizontal layouts. I reinstalled from scratch and still can't see it.

He's probably being sarcastic.
Re:Minoca OS: A new open source operating system on Monday October 31, 2016 @02:15PM (#12839434)
That's a fantastic initiative.

> Can we achieve parity with what what operating systems are used for in today’s world, but with less code, and with fewer pain points? Can we do better? We’d like to try.

I appreciate the uncertainty!

Re:Django React/Redux Base Project on Thursday October 27, 2016 @03:11PM (#12808628)
I don't. Go is mostly used without a framework and you've to collect your libraries. React is just a view library and you've to collect your libraries.

Django, on the other hand, is monolithic just like Ember.

I'd pick Django/Ember any day if it weren't for React Native platforms and the ability to share things between the web and mobile versions.

Re:Django React/Redux Base Project on Thursday October 27, 2016 @01:32PM (#12807209)
Django and React do not share the same mantera. Django goes better with Ember. If you insist on using React/Redux, you are better off with something like Go for the backend.
I find it amusing how HN readers just believe anything they read about how much people are making. For all we know this might be a guy who's making very little and wanted coverage on indiehackers.com.

Google bots do not view this rubbish favourably.

It loads pretty fast but the source code is not search engine friendly.
REST not request.
Yeah, a few folks mentioned the hosted version is fine. However, I am not interested in hosting my own instance. That's said, I don't mind paying a small monthly fee if it means getting a faster cloud service on less crowded servers.
Please fix the speed. Even your gifs are slow.
Re:Why we chose Vue.js on Friday October 21, 2016 @02:34AM (#12758557)
> He pointed out that when a major software company releases a their secret sauce, there is going to be hype. Devs think to themselves,'That company writes JS differently than me, and they are prominent and successful. Is their way of writing JS better than mine? And therefore must I adopt it?'

Ahaha. No, believe me I'll not. That's ironic coming from GitLab. I mean I love that company but their front-end sucks big time and it's slow as a snail.

Which doesn't necessarily mean the color red in French.
