Hey hn, I am thinking of taking career break of 6 months. I do not like my new job and have no energy to interview at new job. Are there any folks who can share their experience. Also does taking career break hurt your chances in future?
I am on h1b right now, so I will be going back to india and interview after 6 months from india.
How is being on h1 relevant here? Visa or no visa people will act according to incentives designed by company.
P.S I am on H1 visa. For sure I am offended.
I agree with you. I was listening to piketty’s on Econ talk. He said that executives get paid much more than labours which is increasing inequality(sort of like this). So that’s was I was thinking if you can’t beat them join them. So it’s better for me to go to management or executive track from IC.

If your goal is to get maximum financial payoff by getting expertise in one of the above mentioned languages which one would you choose? I know languages matter less. But still I would like to see what you guys think.

Here, water is in reference to commencement speech given by David Foster Wallace. From my understanding we have default assumption template which we use to construct meaning for situation happening in front of us. And water which is flowing around us(he gives eg of fish) which is real truth never gets generated from our templates. So what was your moment where you found out wait this is water it's always been here but I never knew!!

I am brown guy.I have been in usa for 2 years.One problem I have is that i got this thick south asian accent and also get fluent speaking english because during internship at the end thats only feedback i got from my manager that you are techinaclly sound but you do lack communication skills.So reason for asking the question here is to get advice and resources to solve my problem:)
