It's probably Mbabaram.
> When Dixon finally managed to meet Bennett, he began his study of the language by eliciting a few basic nouns; among the first of these was the word for "dog". Bennett supplied the Mbabaram translation, dog. Dixon suspected that Bennett had not understood the question, or that Bennett's knowledge of Mbabaram had been tainted by decades of using English. But it turned out that the Mbabaram word for "dog" was in fact dúg,[2] pronounced almost identically to the Australian English word (compare true cognates such as Yidiny gudaga, Dyirbal guda, Djabugay gurraa and Guugu Yimidhirr gudaa, for example[3]). The similarity is a complete coincidence [...].

Degrowth is really about scaling back on the over-the-top way we live. It's about finding a sweet spot where people live well but not at the expense of everything else. It’s cool and useful that solar is cheap, but degrowth means chill on the endless buying and using and discarding stuff, be sustainable and make sure everyone gets a fair shake, not just those who can afford it.
Could it be the prevalence of ophthalmologists instead? I assume it was really hard to get good medical care100 to 200 years ago, not to mention the cost of glasses.
The signals propagate at the exact speed of light, but you're on point on the risk being minimal. Space is big.
Destroying and replacing are very much orthogonal to each other.
How does that work? Never heard of traffic arbitrage before.
Plus, these games are deterministic, whereas everything in life is a stochastic process.

For those interested, there's a nice discussion on the topic of Eichmann and the book on Yale's course Moral Foundations of Politics, in coursera.
The infamous tyranny of majority. That's why we have mechanisms in place in society to ensure fair representation.
I see. I prefer to view it as the apartheid deserves to be viewed: as racism.
"Left wing" in the US means at least center/center-right in the rest of the world.
The link gives a 404 error. Could you post it again?
Very interesting, are you the author? If so, any chance of publishing the raw data afterwards?
This is the most ignorant piece I've ever read in this site. Ignorant about music, ignorant about philosophy and even architecture gets its fair share of ignorance. His comments about the music of the past are completely off ("the repertory was neither controversial nor specially challenging"), as are those about the present music (" our music has either floated into the modernist stratosphere, where only ideas can breathe, or remained attached to the earth by the repetitious mechanisms of pop.")
This crap is pedantic second rate "family values" conservatism disguised as a piece on music and philosophy.
He's probably Brazilian. For some reason, some Brazilians seem to viscerally hate their country and assume that everything about it is wrong, all the while believing that all other countries in the world are magically superior by nature and don't have any problems. People call it the "slumdog syndrome" in there.
Why should this be on HN? I can hardly see how some guy boasting about killing someone - "bad" as they may be - is in any way related to hacking.
