Re:Show HN: Qwen3-4B with the AI writing tics trained out on Monday October 19, 2026 @09:37AM (#50152343)
I don't understand why this is a feature and what it brings other than shout "you are being watched by random others". Exited the site before ending the first block.
Re:Show HN: High-quality duck audio synthesizer on Saturday October 17, 2026 @03:16PM (#50134142)

Re:Show HN: High-quality duck audio synthesizer on Saturday October 17, 2026 @02:27PM (#50133681)

Re:/dev/null: social network for developers on Friday October 16, 2026 @03:35PM (#50123389)
If only we had wel developed solutions for that ;)
Re:/dev/null: social network for developers on Friday October 16, 2026 @03:33PM (#50123368)
Y.a.t.c (yet another twitter clone). Except for theming it brings nothing new to the social media space. I also dont think sending my tweets to a null device will do much for development. Ill put my bets on Bsky or Mastodon here.
See: https://stackoverflow.com/a/40007799

Its sending logs to the container output instead of a file in the container.

Someone at my office said "code is a commodity now". I would personally say that slob code indeed has become a commodity.
Re:Bug: Border radius has infected VSCode editor on Friday September 25, 2026 @05:12PM (#49850014)
Vim is great. But Zed is more like VSCode in usage. And more lightweight too. Not as lightweight as vim tho :)
Re:Bug: Border radius has infected VSCode editor on Friday September 25, 2026 @04:33PM (#49849581)
I stopped using vscode because of their ui a long time ago and went to zed. Never going back.
Re:A/I shuts down – Stay human on Sunday September 06, 2026 @11:42AM (#49587615)
Europe is decoupling itself all ready also. Using SEPA-Inst and wero.
Re:Parallel Agents in Zed on Wednesday April 22, 2026 @03:44PM (#47868336)
A proper git implementation.

I end up doing things in the terminal tab because its faster than the ui or is more clear.

The basics are good but thats about it.

Can it do things that existing tools build into my distro cannot? It looks to me like a convenience tool. Which is fine, but i see no need for it myself
I just have an alias in my .bashrc :)
Not prude at all. It even generates childporn if you pay.
Now i want an PS5. This makes the thing useful to me
Re:Trump orders US Government to cut ties with Anthropic on Friday February 27, 2026 @05:36PM (#47186726)
Oh the US crossed that threshold the day he started he won the elections the second time. Most Americans seem to think new elections will solve it. But for germans it was a world war that brought back democracy. There were no elections anymore. That is also the most likely case for the US now.
Re:The Day the Telnet Died on Tuesday February 10, 2026 @06:23PM (#46968499)
I still used telnet today (had to). Unsure of the patching here. But its definitely locked down to a subset of internal use only.
Re:Some Epstein file redactions are being undone with hacks on Wednesday December 24, 2025 @04:31AM (#46374023)
They effectively already left NATO and openly support Russia already. ICC members are already under fire and some had their microsoft account banned by Trump. Trump will invade Greenland and Canada first. China is less of an priority.
Re:Deprecate Like You Mean It on Thursday December 11, 2025 @04:45PM (#46237630)
Never do this on the job. Its called corporate sabotage and will result in a lot of trouble for you. Its also a generally bad idea. The whole point of deprecation is to let others choose a moment to switch over on their own moment of choosing. If you don't want to maintain it just remove it. It is far nicer behavior. Don't force others in a debugging hell. It makes you a bad person.
Re:10 Years of Let's Encrypt on Tuesday December 09, 2025 @03:40PM (#46210351)
When you request an EV. They call you by the phone number that you give to ask if you requested a certificate. That was the complete extend of the validation. I could be a scammer with a specificity designed domain name and they would just accept it, no questions asked.

A must have for every linux user that reads carefully
Re:Kagi News on Wednesday October 01, 2025 @05:06AM (#45435738)
Ive stopped using all kagi stuff because of the lack in transparency and my official requests for transparency remained unanswered. I don't trust any American corporation that refuses to be transparent. US law allows for way to much dangerous stuff compared to the EU. That is also why the US lost its democracy recently.
Re:Show HN: Clyp – Clipboard Manager for Linux on Friday August 22, 2025 @02:23PM (#44987914)
