I have been with my co-founder(CEO) for more than 2 years now and I just completely lost faith in him and I don't believe is he capable of being a CEO, I don't have any confidence left in him to do sales and I don't like the way things have been working out. We have been stagnating for the last year. I tried many things to change the situation and I just don't want to keep going with him.Now we...
I know, dumb mistake. We were blinded by the logos "experience". Turns out the guy hasn't really done much execution in the last decade.

We have this terrible situation where our late co-founder is underperforming badly. I mean way below any expectations. But of course in our contract we don't have anything about expectations or performance and we are in Europe(Spain). Things are not going well with him, this was way harder than expected for him. And he is willing to leave the company, but he wants his shares to vest before the...
I especially like the point number 4. A lot of our plan would be hinging on him. And if things go wrong, it would be super painful and difficult to recover.
He wants to be a lead investor too. He just wants to be more than just an angel investor and help us.
So we are thinking of taking some of the investment for X% and then suggesting a vesting schedule based on ARR. Like the e1g said in the comment below. 2% for every 100k ARR up to 10%
Yep, you are right, we are hoping that he would bring someone in to replace him afterwards. Or at least help us find someone. And with equity he would be invested into making this a success
Great points, thank you very much!
That's a great way to put it. It makes a lot of sense. Exactly what you said there must be an incentive for him to do the work and we need a way to measure it. Thank you very much for the insights! This is super helpful.
I'm not sure how he will see this, but I think it's a good option to put on a table.
you are right, getting to the bottom of his intentions/motivations is crucial here.
Yep, we were thinking the same thing. vesting period. Also need to think about what happens afterwards. does he have a seat on the board, how actively is he involved, any expectations etc
Those are great points to consider. What happens afterwards. Thank you
To give more context, we have a product with few paying customers, 1k MMR. We have been building for 1 year now. Far from product market fit. The sales have been a lot slower than expected so far.

We are in an unusual situation where a potential angel investor wants to become a temp partner.
We are a pre-seed recruitment AI tech startup and he has been a CEO and director for the last decade in one of the biggest recruitment firms in the world.
He recently quit that job and now he is exploring things and would be willing to work with us for ~9 months. He would connect and sell the app...
Thank you for asking.
We can't pay salaries and he has a lot of industry experience, seemed like a smart, go getter that said all the right things during the interviews.
My delivery wasn't the best, you are right

A couple of months ago we brought in a new Co founder to be the head of growth. We are a young startup with a product and a few paying customers. The new Co founder is experienced and smart. I'm sure he works hard. But today I expressed the concern that if we don't meet some minimum sales targets I won't be able to pay my rent and I will not want to continue with someone who isn't able to meet...
Auto complete in programming has been a massive improvement.
I use gpt for idea bouncing.
Article correction.
I have been using AI to pre screen job candidates. It handles the first interviews so I can give more people a chance and avoid wasting time in repetitive interviews. Recruiters that used to spend hours every day interviewing people are now consultants selling and implementing AI.
Man I'm afraid AI has the power to do so much of our work.
AI is coming for peoples jobs, making people way more efficient and reducing the need for extra people and it's going to replace a lot of people.
Scary and exciting at the same time.
Termination clauses - we haven't considered those yet. Sounds like a sensitive topic. Any advice on how to approach it? How do put targets in a partnership contract? And is it fair to add something like that, putting expectations like that can also create a lot of pressure?
On paper, he does, from multinational corporations. I don't think it's his happy place. he seems better at business development and project management side.
Pretty "standard things" like non-compete clauses which would not allow me to do anything in the HR AI industry for the next year and the product would belong to the Company so I would not be able to just leave and find someone else.
I like the idea of failure, moderate success, success and home run.
Thank you

I'm being asked to sign a co-founder agreement, but I'm not feeling very comfortable because, for the last 5 months, we had a product that was way beyond an MVP and so far we have only 1 client that found us and 1 partnership that he found.
We had about 6 pilots and 2 of them were successful, but we didn't get any of them to pay us. We are a B2B Saas in the HR AI industry. And I'm worried that...

For the people who don't have time to spend hours looking through CVs and interviewing candidates, we have created a tool that handles the initial pre-screening conversations.I used to spend hours pre-screening CVs, scheduling interviews and often wasting a lot of time on interviews after rejecting the candidate in my head after 5 minutes. And sometimes we just have some many applicants that...

As entrepreneurs, we have always been struggling with interviews and getting feedback, so we decided to use AI and create a survey platform that does that for us.
I'm a backend developer doing my best in UX design, would love to get some feedback on the product.
Also, you can try out the product on the landing page; let me know if you think it's useful or what could be improved.Cheers!
Hey! thanks for checking, much appreciated.
Yep, it's really for qualitative information, open ended questions.
The questions are not very different, there are extensive objectives set to keep it on the topic. It really talks to you like a person would.
We are using AI to do the analysis and extract useful information from all of the conversations

My name is Richard D'Lonesteen I'm the CTO of ChattySurvey. This is the 6th startup idea I'm working on in the last 12 months. We are building perhaps the simplest to create surveys in the world(let me know if I'm wrong). Currently, you can get super powerful(NPS, CSAT, PMF etc..) surveys just by filling out 1 text field with the name of the subject.
We are leveraging GPT to conduct the surveys and analyse them. And so far it's doing an unbelievable job, but don't take my word for it - check it out and leave a comment!
We are looking for pilot users and problems that we can help to solve! Please get in touch if you are using surveys!
Thank you!

I like it! gave me some interesting answers. They are very serious doh! This is just for fun right?
love the idea! great for inspiration and it's nice to see in one picture what you can get for a set amount of $$.
hehe I like the name! :)
Why there is a search only per company?
I like the design too. Simple and easy to navigate.
I ran a test and the feedback score was 1 after answering all the questions. Not sure how to change that.
Also in the future I guess you will have to work with the person right? have some sort of connection? as right now I left a comment on a random friend.
Also does it have to be an extension of chrome?
I like the idea and the site is pretty intuitive. Good job!
Great looking site! It took less than a minute to create a first form. Very intuitive. Just the 'Submit' button on the form create page was a bit confusing as it didn't do anything.
Good job!
