Re:Show HN: Arrow Hero on Wednesday July 01, 2015 @11:09AM (#9812309)
I had the same question. Until I found that I should press the arrow in the box, instead of the arrow near the bottom bar... (Ahh, I love other music games, and this one has no music?!)

You are right. The article introduce those ? + * in the grammars again, though grammers are actually simpler from some aspects.
Re:Maud: a fast, safe template engine for Rust on Sunday May 31, 2015 @01:44AM (#9633230)
Learning Rust is just fun. The Rust book teaches me thread safety in the first place through the ownership and borrowing system.

And I am going to see more titles about Rust with "fast and safe". But it doesn't mean the program is stable. :P

Re:Names of the chemical elements in Chinese on Monday May 04, 2015 @01:36AM (#9484495)
(Disclaimer: Not to argue for who invented computers first.)

Yeah, there is a famous computer geek who invented a super nice Chinese input method named "Cangjie" in Assembly and it can be used with a special Chinese CPU. (Now he is an old man.)

Re:Lightbot: A simple programming game on Monday January 19, 2015 @01:31AM (#8910618)
There is an old one from the same team: http://armorgames.com/play/2205/light-bot
The keys can be printed out on a paper. If you set a strong enough passphrase for the secret keys, you can upload them somewhere, too.

I should rarely use my special keys (or passphrases of the secret keys) so as to keep them safer. And simpler authentication is more efficient for normal web services. GPG authentication may not be fast enough.

Ask HN: Which websites use GPG public/secret keys for user password retrieving?

I think email accounts are fragile because you must make sure both the client and the server are secure. If you use GPG public/secret keys, then you don't need email for password retrieving any more. (and no email spams about that)1. For registrations, upload your public key and use your secret key to verify that you own the public key. 2. Retrieve your user password is simple, too. The server...

Re:Hawking: AI could end human race on Tuesday December 02, 2014 @09:55AM (#8687371)
Sorry for disturbing you with my previous comment. And my real questions are: Will a robot with AI be treated as a human baby? Who has the permission to generate AI? When are you allowed to destroy such robot? If you don't want AI to end human race, there should be two cautious choices: 1) Never invent AI. 2) Never treat AIs as humans and destroy them when they do not obey your order.

Really a good joke for “Every TEXT is a quine.”

There are just definitons. Not interesting at all.
Re:Unicode Text Converter on Wednesday November 19, 2014 @08:43AM (#8629917)
You can use “Adobe Blank”[1] and CSS @font-face{unicode-range:} to hide them.

Re:J for C Programmers on Thursday November 13, 2014 @09:00PM (#8605440)
I thought it was a J library for C when I saw this title. Anyway, I think APL/J/K is the real geek code (and its syntax will be forgotten sooner than Perl syntax if you don't use it often. ;)
Re:Cursors on Sunday October 26, 2014 @09:57AM (#8511008)
Yes, it is a nice trick! I simply use it to wait for the late cursors before the goal.
Re:Show HN: Paperman – LaTeX editor with a Markdown feel on Saturday October 25, 2014 @06:41AM (#8507799)
Seems like a linkbait. There is not anything new to me. It's just a Markdown variant editor with a LaTeX feel.
Re:Cursors on Sunday October 19, 2014 @03:22PM (#8479251)
Maybe me. XD That is one of the most challenging levels. I hope to solve it with other four cursors together (Rush for fun!)

You can find the FAQ on the bottom left corner (a button). http://manyland.com/info
Markdown code and JavaScript code are both clean. Now people know how to "kill" JavaScript, but it may become the new assembly language.
Re:mdp – A command-line based markdown presentation tool on Friday September 19, 2014 @11:35AM (#8340944)
A shocking great tool, though I tend to read man pages. May be useful for games based on ncurses. (you say visual novels?)
Re:Show HN: Pup – A command-line HTML parser on Saturday September 13, 2014 @07:58PM (#8314085)
`hxnormalize` can't format the new HTML5 tags normally.
Re:Ask HN: What are you building? on Friday September 12, 2014 @04:04AM (#8307011)
A reStructuredText derivative – Kaj Markup Language. (My personal taste. :P)

https://github.com/jakwings/Kaj-Markup-Language (demo including)

It is almost done, and has a JavaScript/Node.js implementation), but documentations are not ready.

Re:Alleged leak of more than 5M Gmail accounts on Wednesday September 10, 2014 @03:54AM (#8295407)
A summary about phishing:

    1. Found you password with the same email address somewhere
and ask if you still use that email address on another site.
    2. And get your IP, then login through proxy to bypass the security checking.
    3. Still, to know which email address is in use.
If you just worry, change you password right now without using their service. :P It may be good that every a few months some guys remind you to change passwords.

When morality is down, the law is up. So, no thanks to the author?
Re:Standard Markdown Is Now Common Markdown on Friday September 05, 2014 @09:35PM (#8277125)
Do you know what is Markdown? "standard/common" means the original Markdown is not perfect for the simple use of Markdown?

What's more important? Naming or specification? Just don't know why the intelligent people like the word "Markdown" too much to give the new spec a new name. Anyone can explain such great love (and love the new spec more than John Gruber)?

Re:Standard Markdown Is Now Common Markdown on Friday September 05, 2014 @11:36AM (#8274461)
I suggest "Warkdown" or "Warkup". :p Then the dictionary app may ask if you are finding Markdown/markup.
After reading the FAQ, I think you just need a simple blog system with every category representing a special timeline. And you only need to modify the theme.
