A four day work week requires a 25% productivity increase to result in zero productivity loss.

100 * 1,20 * 0,8 = 96

100 * 1,25 * 0,8 = 100

Thank you!

The MBA is not for building a business, it's for having the credentials to get a comfy management job at an established corporation.

Because titles are important to some, and can be used as an incentive to lure people in.
And someone else did a good job not sweeping it under the rug
Either it works and you have them in a nice convenient place, or it doesn't and you don't have to worry about it anymore. It's a win win.

That's less than 8 dollars per capita. Hardly enough to solve a financial crisis.

As they should. They credit card cartel should have never been allowed to make users of other, cheaper payment methods subsidize their benefits.

Re:Ask HN: Your [paid]Subscriptions on Thursday November 30, 2023 @02:15PM (#38477802)
I pay for Netflix, a local gym, a maintenance contract for my boiler and a membership in my local public library
Re:Ask HN: What subscriptions do you pay for? on Thursday November 30, 2023 @02:08PM (#38477689)
Netflix €16/m (Until they stop tolerating my password sharing)

Gym €38/m

Boiler maintenance €13/m

Public library €5/m (Just to support them)

Is it really in favour of nepotism? I see nepotism in this case as incidental. They could have restructured the company for the lulz, and still get the same result.

Don't they sound the same?

> Criticism of Perl may even result in dismissal, according to an anonymous source

That statement is absurd. You can't dismiss an employee in the Netherlands for such a stupid reason. I used to work in their HQ as a developer, and complaining about Perl was always water cooler talk.

Why not both? Fine the company (i.e. investors), jail the executives.
A multi-billion dollar corporation is withholding payments from smaller businesses. Is that not enough reason to publish such an article?
