And if any of the websites use .NET, they can get almost all of the recommended security headers in one line by using a NuGet package I created: https://gaprogman.github.io/OwaspHeaders.Core/
Sounds like they were missing, "don't make mistakes" from their prompts.

Rookie mistake, really.

I would always recommend KEXP. They have a really varied set of shows and setlists, don't seem to be swayed by "we must play the top 40", genuinely care about music, and are super nice if you head into the building in Seattle (which has a public access space, coffee shop, bathrooms, and a SubPop store).

I've had three tours around the place just by telling the folks there that Im there from out of town. To be fair, I might have gotten the tours because I came all the way over from England the times, but it's my favourite place to hang out when I'm in Seattle.

Also Ken is the nicest guy ever, and he introduced me to Larry Mizzel Jr while he was broadcasting live.

Get the app, or use the player on their website, and hive then a try for an hour or do. The app has the ability to "heart" a track while it's playing live, which helps with discovery.

I have a genuine fear that someone will stop me in the street one day, grab me by the shoulders and say

> You have to wake up. Please wake up. We're all here at your bedside waiting for you to wake up. Just wake up. We love you. Please.

And I'm convinced it's because of that episode.

I also have a HiBy R1, and have had it for the majority of 2026. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Once you get past the need for a microSD card (and once you've bought a good quality one), it becomes a fantastic flac player. And, like OP said, it's great for (scroll based) distraction free listening.

I haven't looked into the modding community for it, yet. Thanks for the tip-off on that.

Gamers Nexus have a video about this. Definitely worth a watch.

While it's not full on 100% proof, one of the Senior Dev Advocates posted about it on Bluesky

So the Bursar at Unseen University was on to something this whole time? And we all thought was mad!

Depends where they are in the world. I _think_ GDPR would be a good enough business reason, as they set a ticking clock of 72 hours from the breach to notifying individuals who are in the breach. And the fines involved are pretty steep (almost effing vertical for some).
A family member once bought a cheap Windows 11 laptop with 8GB of RAM then complained that it was running slowly. Can confirm that performance could have been measured in seconds per frame.

Compared to the UK Government which recently announced 10 million GBP for AI research, which will likely be scooped up by consultants. I think Europe is doing fine considering.
Here in the UK, you have to either pay a subscription fee or accept ALL of their tracking cookies in order to read their articles.
I agree. Except that WinForms has not been abandoned. In fact, it's one of the supported paths in the modern .NET stack.
I flew out of SeaTac yesterday (March 28th), and the TSA there were pretty well staffed. Took me around 6 minutes, and that was only because the person in front of me was talking to the agent about the tote bag they got from Trader Joe's.
A journalist writing about something technology relayed abd getting their facts wrong? The devil, you say?
Re:Claude Code is suddenly everywhere inside Microsoft on Monday February 02, 2026 @09:40AM (#46856563)
True story: a lot of the Microsoft engineers I interact with actually do use Apple hardware. Admittedly, I onto interact with the devs on the .NET (and related technologies) departments.

Specifically WHY they use Apple hardware is something I can only speculate on. Presumably it's easier to launch Windows on Mac than the other way around, and they would likely need to do that as .NET and its related technologies are cross platform as of 2016. But that's a complete guess on my part.

Am *NOT* a Microsoft employee, just an MVP for Developer Technnolgies.

Re:Cold-Blooded Software (2023) on Monday January 05, 2026 @02:02AM (#46496033)
The problem of what happens when the author is unable to keep working on the source code has come up a LOT in the .NET space. One author (of both books and OSS) has even written up [0] the pro-active steps he's taken for when "The Emnuggerance" (as Pratchett called it) takes his abilities.

I was not expecting both Spaced and Jim "Mr.B the Gentleman Rhymer" Burke to be mentioned in the same comment on a HN thread. Good show indeed.
Dave Plummer (ex Microsoft) did this on his YouTuve channel recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmBd39OwvWg

Would also recommend his back catalogue, if you haven't.
