These is personal experience and views;

Male circumcision is prevalent in Africa mostly as as the norm. It is painless at childhood but gruesome when done to older kids. In some cultures around the world male circumcision is akin to piercing the ears of a baby girl for earrings.

In places where circumcision is a ritual, it gets done to older kids (early teens) as a rite of passage into adulthood. To me that will be more agonizing considering the awareness of the pain eg. when your dick gets caught in a zipper.

I personally dont find male circumcision at birth repugnant because I literally have no memory of it and I but I appreciate it was done to me appropriately.

According to https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5422680/

"The timing and reason for circumcision in boys or men vary across the continent. Circumcision is prevalent in as much as 93% of the countries in Northern Africa compared to 62% of countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Whereas the procedure is done for religious purposes in Western and Northern parts of Africa, it is seldom performed in neonates in Eastern and Southern regions of the continent where circumcision is, often, a rite of passage into adulthood"

What I'll love to see if the comparative AIDS footprint between countries with varying degrees of circumcision.

I suppose you're referring https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steganography

There are lots of apps/software to do just that.

The crabs are nocturnal the birds are not! The footage shows it was in the night
I love the fact that the UI has professional switcher buttons but how is this different from OBS?

Re:Electric cars: The death of the internal combustion engine on Thursday August 10, 2017 @12:55PM (#14981654)
Global adoption of autonomous vehicles is quite far fetched, ofttimes i suspect when people talk of its widespread usage they're referring to developed economies.

Maps and GPS triangulation or pinpointing operates on a margin of error and sometimes routes you to a wrong location even in New York

Couldn't this will be very effective in the delivery business we see, amazon, postmates and grubhub undertaking in urban areas?

I would love to see a unbiased comparative review with other messaging apps

Is it impossible to deliver ads natively ie serve ads directly from the publisher's platform instead of 3rd party?

How do you skirts ad blocking applications without triggering an inconvenience on your readers?

Re:Tipping Is Coming to Uber on Saturday April 23, 2016 @04:10AM (#11554664)
Previously drivers were not permitted to accept tips and this was mandatory. I dont know if the new tipping arrangement is going to be foisted on the passenger if not I think it is only fair for drivers to be able accept a tip from anyone who generously feels the need to do so

This is a game changing feature and I hope other browsers follow suit, I would love to see it implemented in the mobile version especially.

Re:Business in Africa: 1.2B opportunities on Friday April 15, 2016 @08:07PM (#11508530)
Not much has been said about the IT industry. Until recently transaction processing was a huge impediment as Paypal and the likes were blocking transactions coming from most of Africa. Then there is an inherent problem of physical addressing, which also impedes delivery and a host of GPS dependent services from having a good traction. Much of what has been done recently is to improvise or innovate to suit existing systems eg Mpesa No recognition for developers or apps

There is still a lot of untapped opportunities existing at the bottom, You just have to look closely once the cost of access and speed of the internet, intermittent supply or electricity and load-shedding issues have been dealt with.

Re:Ask HN: Is it worth paying for a Coursera course? on Saturday April 09, 2016 @05:45PM (#11463497)
My take as I have tried used all the major platforms. Edx has quality and more challenging tutorials Udacity is project focused, and coursera has lost its grip by chopping up courses and charging fees for each module.

If you feel the need to pay for anything I suggest you go for Edx Micromasters program or Udacity's Nanodegree. I think you'll derive a lot more from that.

Is this speculative forensics or an absolute? Does the fact that they have an outdated plugin mean the leak was siphoned by that?

Im genuinely curious

Re:Show HN: Show HN Chat on Thursday February 18, 2016 @10:23AM (#11126365)
Congratulations.

What is the underlying stack and what are your plans going forward.

Do you have any intentions on pushing it out for widespread adoption via opensource to be self hosted?

Could you possible integrate WebRTC for video chat?

While I havent seen heavy market in that aspect there appears to be some level of improvisation with Blackberry's messenger http://www.bbm.com/bbm/en.html
Why hasnt companies like Download.com and CNET been dragged to court yet beats me. People have had to pay hard cash just to have their systems purged many have lost priced documents and information while attempting resets because of this.

Is this some sort of favorable treat?

When the CEO of a billion dollar company was appointed for publicity reasons, a home-run to the bottom is not a stretch.

Lack of focus is ultimately going to render yahoo's demise. Their cluttered homepage tells it all.

Re:How to Make Almost Anything on Saturday June 13, 2015 @10:55PM (#9713676)
I am going to look into this collection, i have been thinking of setting up a small shop but i might go with a bigger CNC that traverses the work area over rack and pinion so i can switch between spindle and plasma cutter. Any suggestions?
Personally a dumb tv/roku/media server has been my go to choice. This whole smartTV hype is still beyond me.
