Re:Gemini 2.5 models are being deprecated and discontinued on Thursday July 30, 2026 @04:05AM (#49107207)
for gemini-2.5-flash-lite the recommended GA migration target is gemini-3.1-flash-lite, or gemma-4-26b-a4b-it-maas.

both more expensive (was $0.10/$0.40) and now either ($0.25/$1.50) or ($0.15/$0.60) for the global variant. especially for uses cases like generating short summaries, where no strong reasoning is needed, there seems to be no option at a similar price point available anymore.

Re:Spotify was down on Tuesday March 08, 2022 @01:36PM (#30603914)
this annoys me as well, why would the app decide to log me out, when it cannot connect to the backend? I have playlists downloaded for this exact reason...
Yes it does: https://stackexchange.com/performance

Pretty impressive I think.

Re:Tesla envy grips Germany’s giants on Monday September 05, 2016 @05:50AM (#12429198)
I think this sums the situation up quite well and explains why Mercedes, BMW, etc. have not put a serious Tesla competitor on the streets yet:

Looks very nice, sharp graphics and the dial has a nice "feel" to it, both mobile and desktop. Very well done.

Re:Corrode: C to Rust translator written in Haskell on Friday July 08, 2016 @11:55AM (#12056398)
as many "transpilers" / compilers, whatever you might name them, it lacks example input output.

I want to see how my new rust code base looks light, does it compile with some heuritics, or just 1:1 C to rust primitives?
