I agree, offering real value upfront feels like the only sustainable way to do this now.
The free beta + conversation after they’ve actually used the product makes a lot of sense. It shifts the dynamic from pitch to feedback loop.
What are you building, and in which space? Would be interesting to hear how you’re applying this in practice.
This is a really helpful reframing. I hadn’t thought about completely removing the “ask”. I think that’s exactly why outbound still feels uncomfortable to me.
Just to make sure I understood you correctly - are you saying you deeply study their specific context first and then proactively share a concrete observation or suggestion without attaching a meeting request?
How you decide what level of analysis is “enough” before reaching out?

As a founder, I’ve found outbound discovery surprisingly difficult.Reaching out to people who don’t know you — especially outside your network often feels intrusive.
There’s always a concern:
- Am I just pushing my own agenda?
- Am I wasting their time?
- Is this disguised selling? At the same time, I’ve noticed something important. When conversations actually happen, they’re often incredibly...

I’m curious how others approach this in practice. On paper, hiring often starts with clear criteria: stack match, years of experience, prior roles. But I’ve noticed that many candidates can align well with a job description - sometimes even shape the conversation to fit it without that being the real signal.Over time, I started to see two layers:
1. Formal fit — experience, skills, role...
Inheritance headlines hide a lot of variance. Between healthcare costs, taxes, late-life spending, and liquidity constraints, what actually transfers is often very different from what’s on paper.

I’ve seen data work well for things like pricing, timing, and market trends.
But it often falls short when it comes to lived experience, layout quality, or long-term usability.
Curious where others have found data genuinely helpful — and where it breaks down.
Really nice analysis. Did you notice if seasonality behaves differently across unit types or price segments?
Thanks! The part about brokers is interesting.
Did that actually work for you, and was it worth it? How did you choose the right brokers and were they paid upfront or success-based?

I’m an early-stage founder and trying to understand what actually worked for others during early fundraising.Did investors discover you organically, or did you have to do all the outreach manually (cold emails, short pitch decks, demo calls, etc.)?What steps made the biggest difference for you?
That’s a really good point. Thank you. Out of curiosity what kind of insights would actually make the choice easier for you?
Which criteria or factors would you personally find most useful when evaluating properties?
Thanks, that’s a really great idea, I’ve noted it down.
You’re absolutely right. Filtering out fake listings or negative landlord/seller histories can save a lot of time, money, and nerves.
Thanks, John. I really appreciate your thoughtful reply and totally understand your point.
The idea isn’t to replace human understanding, but to let you share the key things that matter to you, so the system can surface only the most relevant options.
The more facts and context it has, the more accurate the results become.
John, thanks for your comment.
I’ve been in real estate for about 10 years, studying how people actually make decisions and helping them choose the right property.
Recently, launched a platform that uses deep analysis to evaluate listings before you see them, showing only the ones that genuinely match your needs and lifestyle.
We’re constantly running tests and experiments.

I’m curious how people feel about delegating real estate search to AI — not just filtering listings, but actually understanding your needs, preferences, and constraints.Imagine an AI system that:
- Knows your budget, commute, lifestyle, and personal priorities
- Analyzes thousands of listings and filters out irrelevant ones
- Evaluates each option by multiple factors (price dynamics,...
I remember going to a planetarium as a kid and seeing a booth where you could “buy land” on the Moon (or any other planet) and get a fancy certificate to prove it
This project totally brings back that kind of charm, but with a digital twist.
It took me straight back to childhood.
