There's a lot of old FORTRAN code out there. Off the top of my head I'd look for:
- Places using traditional supercomputers (Cray, NEC SX, Fujitsu)
- Geophysical and petrochemical industries
- Defense industries
- Academic institutions in hard science (physics, mathematics)
