How much did Weebly pay to appear in the middle of every page?

edit: this appears to be a site produced by a web designer named Adam Boalt. There is no about/contact info on the site itself, and the submitter's account was created specifically to promote this site.

So... not sure what the deal is. I'm curious now whether Weebly even knows they are on this site.

It could be they're acting as an affiliate for weebly.

That's weird - I don't see Weebly at all

It's #3 on every listing page as a "sponsored product". Just curious what the going rate is.

I'm not sure, honestly. I'm the writer for the site, so I handle reviewing apps and writing the entries. Not so much the arithmetic. Sorry about that!

Doh!- I forgot I have AdBlock Plus running on this machine... Sorry for the confusion.

Nice design and great typography! All your ratings seem high, though. You should review some bad apps to make the good ones seem even better. :)

Thanks! We've been trying to be selective about the apps we review, and only feature the cream of the crop-but I can see how it might be good to create some contrast in the ratings.

Yes, specially that the designer gets micro typography. The centered rating box is cheesy, though.

Good site, but too wide for my netbook. You could try reducing the width just a bit...

Umm...did you just rip the TechCrunch ads from their sidebar, or is there some 3rd-party ad network that you're both using?

You need a link to go to a site after reading about it! In the listings there's a "go to site" link for each site, but if I click on "Read more" to see the full review, there's no link from there to the reviewed site (or at least I haven't found one after skimming the page several times).

Thanks for the suggestion...I'll go in and fix that this weekend.

Very good layout and navigation, hope the ratings are real. One thing, though: the list of "highest rated" at the bottom of the page creates a THIRST for the ability to re-sort all apps in other orders, particularly in order by ratings, so I can review all the highest-rated apps in the format of the front page. (On Amazon, I nearly always re-sort products by "customer review" rankings--high to low is all that's needed, and find this the quickest way to go through a list of possibilities.)

Excellent idea, thanks!

Leveraging Twitter on the review pages is a great idea. I don't think I've seen this feature on other review based sites, but it seems obvious now that I've seen it implemented. I am seeing some character encoding issues, but it might be my browser.

Great overall design too.

Great design - a favicon.ico would be a nice touch and make your site easier to find with multiple tabs open.

I submitted http://www.browseology.com and we'd love a review!

A way to sort by ratings would be a good addition, or atleast a link that lists that most popular candidate in each category will be useful.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took the time to review Useful Tools.com. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions. Also, thanks to everyone who sent apps in for consideration. I'm going through everything that was sent, and we'll definitely feature the apps that we think would work well on the site, probably within the next week or two.
