While I am sympathetic (to a point) about any online service and how difficult moderation is (particularly at scale), some things should indeed be neutral and not try to moderate anything. My keyboard is one. My keyboard should have no say in what I type, at all.

Disable this autocorrect and prediction then?

I don't think it's possible to have predictive text without moderation. If nothing else, it will "moderate" toward the mean of the training data, which will reflect inherent biases of the time and shift as culture shifts. What is "neutral" in one context will no longer be neutral in another (since every culture, even mutually English speaking cultures, are different).

I'm sympathetic to the idea that something as basic as a keyboard should have no say in what you type, but the only solution might be to turn off predictive text.

When I swipe do I want it to change my language? What about when I dictate? These aren't predictive text tools, they are literally altering speech that leaves your mouth.
