Honestly 2023 doesn't make sense to me for the jump. If it was 2024 I'd say that the change in the Linux Kernel bug to CVE policy was this issue.

I really don’t know what else to say. The numbers are right there. ChatGPT launched in 2022 as the other person pointed out. Correlation is not causation yada yada but you’re dismissing the rate doubling in one year and sitting there right after ChatGPT released.
