I thought there was a big need for turbine reactors to keep the pace of AC.

Put at the same time it just seems solar is growing and growing and I’m wondering if there is a technical innovation that makes this less important now a days?

I understand it can also be done with battery powered systems, which respond an order of magnitude faster than gas turbine stabilisers.
