I was once taking a trip from Canterbury to Glasgow. The train ride to Stansted airport cost more than twice the flight to Glasgow. Also, it's crazy just how cheap the flights are in Europe. How do the airline companies make any money?

Yeah the airport trains can be pricey!

Addons and cargo I believe (and cutting every single cost you can imagine, then more).
A lot of people have the perception nobody buys addons but the airlines make a tonne of money from them
