From the linked article;
On 7 October, Amnesty International called on Saudi Arabia to quash the sentence and release him immediately and unconditionally.
"No one should be imprisoned, let alone face execution simply for expressing their views, even if these are deemed insulting or offensive," said Heba Morayef, Amnesty's regional director for the Middle East and North Africa.
One would think it's important to follow the law of the land, right? We'll see what comes out of this incident once the law runs its course.
Do not proselytize your Religion, Do not support/try-to-explain would-be-murder of innocents in the name of your Religion.
In this case it is very clearly the former and hence got called out by me and everybody else. The fact that you are even arguing about this (i.e. would-be-murder of an innocent man) speaks volumes about You and your Religion.
You are, when you start explaining how "Sharia is not bad" when an innocent man is sentenced to death under "Sharia law"!
Don't be a blatant hypocrite.
I am not a Westerner but had lived in the West for a while, so i can tell you that Western hypocrisy is trivial when compared to Islamic hypocrisy which is the worst in every dimension. This is why so many Muslims leave their own countries and try to move to the developed Western World by-hook-or-by-crook.
You have no idea of what you are talking about and hence some education is in order.
1) Criticism of Islam - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Islam
2) Criticism of Islamism - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Islamism
3) Islamic Fundamentalism - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_fundamentalism
4) Islamic Terrorism - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_terrorism
I will also repeat that neither one of us has the entire picture of what happened, posting snippets from random articles does not change that.
There is no "Islamic hypocrisy". Muslims leave their countries because they have been occupied and/or meddled with, peaking since post WWI colonization, and continuing to this day. Also, as long as one is able to practice his religion freely, he is allowed to travel. Scholars have repeatedly said that if someone fears that he is not able to practice freely where in the non-Muslim country he resides, it becomes prohibited for him to continue to live there.
And are you comparing traveling for livelihood with state sponsored terrorism and genocide that the USA, Europe, and Israel did and are doing, then hide behind the "human rights" facade?
Posting random wikipedia articles (non-primary sources) isn't really helping here. I fixed so many errors in Islam related wikipedia articles before, and the ones you posted have such errors.
I can also just as easily post random ones about secular and western terrorism.
Accept that your Religion and its Practice are utterly impractical, useless and dangerous for the 21st century and there might yet be hope for you. The proof is in the fact that all the Islamic countries are backward in almost all measures of progress viz. economic, education, human rights, women's rights, institutional, scientific, technological etc.
The given Wikipedia links provide all relevant and curated data with further links to more resources. Go study them before spouting nonsense here.
To bring this thread to a close, here is an article from an educated professor; Muslim world lags behind in every sphere of life: Dr. Zubair Zafar Khan - https://muslimmirror.com/muslim-world-lags-behind-in-every-s...
Q.E.D.
As I pointed out, I corrected many mistakes in wikipedia. It is not a primary source.
Repeat after me: correlation is not causation. Islamophobes selectively ignore when the Islamic Caliphate was at the top of prosperity and advancements across all fields in the world.
Your above comment is irrelevant and nonsensical; They are just standard tropes employed by Islamic apologists which have been refuted many times over and easily; some by enlightened Muslim Scholars themselves (with plenty of data as my last link showed).
As another example, here is Dr. Jamshed Uppal's presentation Are Muslim Attitudes Tuned For Economic Progress? The conclusion which he comes to after analyzing data "from 66 countries" (including all Muslim majority countries) is a resounding NO! Your comments here have only validated his points. You can search for the video yourself - https://site.theblackhole.pk/event/are-muslim-attitudes-tune...
