Appreciated!

But please get out and vote! And please convince all of your sensible friends, family and neighbours to do the same!

The trouble is that we need a majority.

Vote for who or what exactly? Both parties are completely corrupt. I'd vote for the guy running for Senate in Michigan. But I'm not stupid. The Democratic Party is identical to the Republican Party for anything that matters. Ultra fast imperialism or just fast imperialism. Hopeless situation.

Voting has always been about the lesser of two evils.

In the last Canadian election, I actually largely liked what I was seeing from our two major parties. It fortunately didn't feel like the choice between two lesser evils, but rather a choice between two greater goods.

(I don't say this arrogantly, I actually did like both candidates and platforms).

With that being said, I do lament that we Canadians and Americans live in two-party states, which is terrifyingly close imo to a sort of one-party state.

I think I'm a communist now. I believe both liberalism and conservatism have failed to address the needs of Western populations. Wasn't always like this. The post war system was never going to last forever.

I think most all -isms can work, in the absence of massive corruption.

But this may just be another way of saying that most all -isms cannot work.

Strengthening of anti-corruption rules and powers under any system of government should work to strengthen that system of government. I don't know what it would look like though. Any sufficiently powerful entity is just more prone to corruption, so it could move the corruption into different places, as opposed to stamping it out.

Well they're at least not identical when it comes to tariffing your friends!

That's a good point.
