As an example, My VPN (NordVPN) auto-renewed at 3x the original price, without warning. Thankfully I catched it and was able to cancel the subscription.

Companies should not be allowed to do this... But they do.

subscription bloat is a real thing. my company reduced like $4000/month with a quick audit

They're so easy to miss, but usually if you catch them immediately they issue the refund
