Re:Why didn't AI "join the workforce" in 2025? by Nio1024 on Tuesday January 06, 2026 @01:06AM (#46509239)
From early to late 2025, I’ve clearly felt the conversation around AI becoming more grounded. The excitement around grand narratives is cooling, while attention is shifting toward real, concrete problems. My team and I are genuinely encouraged by this shift, as it’s a positive signal for what we’re building right now.

The AI world has never lacked people who paint ambitious visions of the future. What’s truly scarce are practitioners who stay grounded, understand the fundamental boundaries of complex systems, and focus on solving real engineering problems one by one. The value of AI doesn’t lie in promising to overturn everything, but in reliably increasing certainty within well-defined scenarios.

Please stop spamming us with obvious AI generated posts.

What’s truly scarce are humans who stay humble, don’t lie, and actually communicate their thoughts instead of delegating all interactions to an automaton.

If you give as little a shit about us as to just dump machine generated text at us, why should we listen to you?

And that’s giving you the benefit of the doubt based on your post and account that you are trying to run some AI platform and aren’t just some consensus manufacturing bot.

Edit: nope, benefit of the doubt is gone. A ~3 month old account. The second comment you had which was the first with any interaction[1] is from another ~3 month old account that is even more obviously a bot.

I guess we just have Reddit style Bot nets on this forum forever

When I doubt the originally of my posting I just add something like 911 was an inside job or release the Epstein files which still is pretty convincingly human. But who knows, in the future the internet might be full of bots making jokes about Jews.

I come from a non-English-speaking country, and I admit that I use translation tools to communicate here, but I’m not a bot. I was introduced to Hacker News by a friend a few months ago to learn, because the quality of discussion here is consistently high. I want to clarify that every post I make reflects my own thoughts after carefully reading the content. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

In the event that you are real, I am giving you a heads up that your AI translations sound completely inhuman in English.

I have been trying to learn a non alphabet based language without capitalization in its script so I can commiserate on not seeing the fine details that are obvious to native speakers, again assuming you are flesh and blood.

Thanks for the suggestion, and sorry for the late reply. I’ve been extremely busy lately and haven’t had any time to browse HN.
