It's honestly mind boggling that some third of the country is convinced about immigrants "coming for their jobs". Meanwhile we choose to punish the immigrants coming in instead of the companies for hiring illegal immigrants for sub minumum wages.

Really shows the priority of some people here. It's clearly not getting a job.

They would literally rather give a huge power grab to the Feds, remove habeas rights, station Marines in US cities, and abduct first graders from school than have the government overreach of 'the government punishing the employers.'.

Without the incentive of employers paying more here than in peoples' home countries the entire problem largely just goes away but let's abduct 1st graders and stage US Marines in American cities.
