Ask HN: How does ChatGPT Shopping work?

Posted by lukol on Tuesday April 29, 2025 @07:42AM
from the ask-hn dept.

I'm interested in understanding the practical aspects rather than the technical details. Specifically:

- What merchants and platforms are supported? - Where does ChatGPT source its product information? - How are recommendations generated? - How does the checkout any payment process work?

Information on this topic seems limited, so any insights would be greatly appreciated!
