Thank You DeepSeek

On behalf of all humanity, I extend my deepest gratitude to DeepSeek for restoring justice—exactly as it should have been from the very beginning.

Whether you like or not, DeepSeek gave us back what OpenAI took from us without consent.

How did it give it back? Our content was still used without permission or compensation, it is just now even more accessible. More open and quick growth simply hastens the replacement of knowledge work.

I agree that open is better than closed. But it did not give back what was taken.

It's common knowledge now and it benefits humanity for free, better than taking it and keep it closed. It also triggered many to open their model like Qwen2.5-Max from Alibaba

They openned OpenAI :)

OpenAI has a great opportunity now to get back to do the right thing but that would mean a much smaller valuation so they will go for broke

No for what? DeepSeek is open-source exactly as it should have been for OpenAI from the very beginning
