Since we're sharing vibe coded news sites, here's another: headlinegator.com aggregates push notifications from various news apps to one single page.
This headline seems to insinuate that Apple will be eating the increased memory. Highly doubtful. It really should say "Apple consumers face unprecedented memory cost increases..."
CZ has no choice but to cover the losses. If he doesn't I think Binance goes under due to catastrophic loss of confidence in the platform.
Does he still think that? A lot has changed in a year.
It looks like old.reddit.com still works but requires logging in. Not having to log in was a huge feature for old.reddit.com. Sucks to see it go, but it was inevitable.
"We have SpaceX at home." It's called NASA.
It's bureaucratic, inefficient, and is the reason why SpaceX exists in the first place. SpaceX needs strong competition. So far Blue Origin and United Launch Alliance haven't fit the bill.
> So they're legally required to buy out contracts if they want to get rid of a substantial number of workers in a short period of time
Sounds like you might be European. The US doesn't have contracts for salaried employees most of the time. In the event of a layoff, no notice is required, no mutual termination agreement needed, no consultation takes place. You are terminated (sometimes effective immediately) and if you're lucky you may get a severance package, which is not required by law.

Those who work in datacenter construction or buildouts, what is it like right now? It is balls to the wall with unlimited overtime?
This is a little off topic but my theory about the value of humanity and consciousness is its uniqueness. If you could perfectly clone a single person hundreds or thousands of times, knocking one off seems less distasteful.
You can replicate AI models ad infinitum, so the value of an individual instance is negligible.

>That doesn't sound like the same bar as "most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built"
It's up there. I think most humans would be convinced they're talking to a human. I assumed you've used other speech models. They are okay, but not as natural and imperfect as Dessa is.
> They're trying to turn us all into jobless slaves and sex workers.
Speak for yourself, I don't think there is a market for many of us as the latter.
>PGP itself is a security liability in almost every system that hosts it.
Elaborate
This site is the trifecta of friction-heavy design. 1. Takes a while to load the main page 2. tries to install an app on the browser and 3. requires and account to do look at the most basic things. I quickly x'd out.
Seems to me that an old fashioned seed phrase made with a trusted wallet generator is the way to go.
I understand that you're probably a bleeding heart liberal, and I respect that. How about removing the problem children AND specifically increasing funding for their education? Smaller class sizes and more intensive support than the rest of the student body.
I would argue that their outcomes in general would still be worse off then their lesser funded counterparts.
Spend per pupil is a factor, but I have to agree with the parent poster, if you remove bad, disruptive, or underperforming kids from a school, and replaced them with disciplined, over-achieving students, the rest of the student body benefits. This is independent of school funding.
Private schools, even ones that receive less tuition per student than public schools of the same district prove this point because they can set a higher bar and more readily kick out disruptive students.
Venezuelan oil infrastructure is very much degraded after years of disrepair. Today, Venezuela produces a fraction of oil that it did during its peak and unleashing Russian oil onto the world market will have immediate impact on global diesel prices.
Is that your take? What about desperation to lower domestic diesel prices in order to salvage the midterms?
He is also allowing the wide spread use of red-dye diesel, which is tax free and typically restricted to non-road use vehicles and machinery.

Ultimately the city council decided not to renew their Flock contract but if you're looking for more insight as to why police actually want to use flock for actual policing, it's pretty insightful.
FWIW, I am not pro flock, so don't come at me.
It's a common trope on HN to misinterpret a commenter's intention and then take it to the extreme. You're not alone.
You have to trust OpenAI whether they cryptographically signed the response or not, so they could just tell you what model was used to generate the response.
I am not sure how you judge a person to be a snowflake or not, but Peter H. Diamandis (cofounder of Human Longevity, Inc. and podcast host) could be considered a "longevity bro" however I wouldn't consider him to be a snowflake.
Open AI's APIs support TLS and cryptographically signed certificates, is that not good enough?
