Originally, open source wasn't in our plan, but I'm now recognizing its benefits and am seriously considering it. Observing companies like Dub and Typesense use OSS to foster community contributions, goodwill, and trust has evidently helped them grow more rapidly and gain enterprise clients who prefer transparent solutions. While there's still some work needed before we can open source our project, it's likely to happen in the next few months. I'll update here once it's live, so you can take a look!

sounds good. I wish I could get email updates about telemetry.
also I tried signup up and at the page titled "Where are you collecting telemetry from?", looks like I have to send dummy telemetry calls. It's friction and I'd rather explore the dashboard without having to set it up.
I wish I could also interact with dummy data during the onboarding flow. See what kind of queries I can do given some data.

For email updates, now that you've signed up, you're on our mailing list and will receive all future email notifications.
As for onboarding, I've included a curl option to make the process slightly easier, though I acknowledge it still has some friction. I really admire how Plausible allows users to explore their dashboard without needing to log in. I plan to implement a similar feature in the future.
